However, an acquaintance of mine who is somewhat of a bon vivant and poultry connoisseur, disagreed. He said 1990 was an excellent year for canned chicken unlike the late 80s varieties which tended to be a bit on the dry side or the other early 90s vintages which had a somewhat smoky bouquet. He said while eating it now would be a satisfying experience, best to hold on to it as he feels that once the precious metals craze has run its course, a dramatic increase in the value of older canned meats is inevitable... |
