Subject: I'M A DAD!! by Crazy8 on 2008/5/9 16:16:44 My wife and I have been in the process of adopting a child since last May. We put this dream on the back burner at the end of October, when our parents were killed in a tractor trailer accident in North Carolina. Our parents had become best friends after my wife and I were married, living less than a mile from one another. At the end of March, we attended an adoption party thrown by Children's Home Society in West Palm Beach, FL. There we both fell for a young girl who happens to look like she could have been our biological daughter. Her name is Chelsea and she just turned 11 years old. She has straight red hair, green eyes and freckles. There were two other families interested in adopting Chelsea as well. On April 18th, we received a call from the director at CHS, telling us that we were matched with Chelsea. We have started getting together with her for our supervised visits the past two Fridays, but tomorrow, we get to spend the day with her. Both of us are VERY excited about this new addition to our home. I just wanted to share our great news with all of you. |
