So the best signals he'll be playing is 1080i or 720p with a HD satellite signal. Looks like most of the HD channels use 1080i since it uses less bandwidth than 720p. But I don't see any TVs advertised as 1080i. Maybe the 1080p TVs are necessary to get the native resolution and will look better than a 720p tv on that signal? These LCDs look pretty bad when they're playing non-native resolution. I didn't know dvds were so crappy at 480p. |
