The rotors are steel on bikes, not cast iron like your vette. I think they're drilled for weight savings. It doesn't take much rotor to stop a 400lb bike, so they can afford to drill a bunch of holes in it without it overheating. Also notice there are two rotors. Every ounce of weight savings on a 400lb bike makes a difference. On your 3,400 lb car, not so much.
