Had the paint done, car in 2 shops for a total of almost 6 yrs. Long story but at least its done and replaced the motor that came up MIA. All the rest of paint/pre (underside of the body, frame, etc) I did once the body was removed.

I found some pics of when I stripped the body myself back in 00 but it was SO rough under the bondo I could not find one good reference point to start with. It was hammered BAD and had been hit numerous times. Pulled the fron frame rails out too. Car is more square than GM ever could have had it now..
Think at one point some hick owned it. Rear wiring harness had it spliced for a hitch, had an extra gas door welded in the side of the bed, 2 CB antennaes and air shocks when I got it.

All I can say is never buy a car primered unless you reeealy know body work ..Too easy to hide a good bondo job. LOL.

Its a lot of work, headache and sacrifice. Would not recommend doing a frame off to anyone as most never see the road again, dont wanna be one of those guys. I know why you see freshly completed cars being sold...By the time its together they are relived and dont want to see the thing anymore.
If you have the money, time and place and get it done quick go for it then. This will be the one and only "framer" I do.
