To your points: #1 - That's fine. Freedom of choice. #2 - Palin is just as qualified as Obama. Obama's job for the last 2 years has been to be a candidate. As stated, he was a Sentor 143 days when he decided to run for president. In the Illinois State Senate Obama voted present about 150 times. Pretty gutsy. Palin has been the CEO, or mini-president of Alaska for 2 years, and has an 80% approval rating. One state has a national guard unit on full time active duty. The 49th missile defense unit in Alaska. One governor has full time commander-in-chief duties, the Alaskan governor. One governor is routinely briefed on defense and homeland security... the governor of Alaska. #3 - A fair point, but consider this: The Senate will probably change composition such that the Democrats have a filibuster proof majority. The House will shift more to Democrats. Do you really want to put a Democrat in the White House too? If you really believe both parties will screw us, then why give one party the rubber stamp? I know I'm not going to change your mind. At this point, people who have made up their minds, shifting is out of the question. But you threw red meat out there. Don't be surprised when the lions show up. This is the first election in my life where I thought America as we know it is in the balance. I believe Obama is an internationalist, not an American first, and a socialist. Socialism has not worked anywhere it's been tried. I believe Obama has the capability to do serious, irreparable harm to America. Sorry, that's my view. And as for liberals, in general, not tolerating the right. I've seen it. My brother is a liberal, and we can't talk politics. He takes disagreement as a personal insult. |
