All about research and facts, yes indeedee.

Cool, did it solve your problems with the clap too? Cause it claims to.

Since we have a disconnect, allow me to explain:

Plain old air: Free

Patomic Nitro: $20

Alleged benefits:

1. Tires last longer
2. Run cooler
3. Smooths out Bumps
4. Improves braking
5. Improves handling
6. quiets tires
7. Improves ride quality by "muting bumps"

Proven Benefits:

1.
2.
3.

ok, well nothing.

Internet folk lure benefits:

1. Tires last longer
2. Run cooler
3. Smooths out Bumps
4. Improves braking
5. Improves handling
6. quiets tires
7. Improves ride quality by "muting bumps"

Evidence:

1. I know a guy who put 1,000,0000 miles on his tires and he used Patomic's product.

2. STFU and show me your lap times.

3. You're leaving handling on the table and you can cut your track time by two whole minutes if you spend $20 with PN. I know guys who spent a lot of money on their cars and they put PN in their tires, and their times increased a whole lot.

4. My favorite...go run some lap times, dismount your tires, put on new tires, new shocks, align the car, fix the brakes, fill them with PN and tell me how your times improved. See, it's all because of PN. All on your dime. (yes ladies and gents, that's what passes for information on some forums)

Now, as the OP points out, if anyone says anything closely related to tires, they will be accosted both in public and via PM by people on said forum that if they do not hand PN $20 for what they can get anywhere else in the form of free air, they are idiots. That right there is the origin of internet forum idiocy.

Note through out this process no one has ever validated:

1. Tires last longer
2. Run cooler
3. Smooths out Bumps
4. Improves braking
5. Improves handling
6. quiets tires
7. Improves ride quality by "muting bumps"

And given good reason to spend $20 when there's something available that accomplishes the same thing and it's free.

I know I left out the parts where Joe Patomic comes out and posts pictures of flat tires at the track, and makes even more absurd undocumented claims about molecular stability of Nitrogen and such, and the crowd described above who backs it, after all it's true Nitrogen has molecules ya know, and it is technical, we said molecules. Just because there's a group of idiots, doesn't make them any less of an idiot. See how that works?

So when people sign up to said TireForums.com and ask advice, the entire conversation is framed all about:

1. Tires last longer
2. Run cooler
3. Smooths out Bumps
4. Improves braking
5. Improves handling
6. quiets tires
7. Improves ride quality by "muting bumps"

Now, no one said that he should USE PN, however, if you don't consider the above criteria as gospel, you're an idiot.

Which, as we have demonstrated is unproven and undocumented. IN FACT it had gotten so bad that the term "free air" is not even mentioned. It's no longer air pressure in a tire, it's PN in a tire. What PN pressure should I run?

So some kid who worked all year to save his pennies to do some mods to his new cool hot rod, will send $20 to PN as a result, and will have pissed it away. He could have better spent in in 1000 other places, but it doesn't matter, his tires are filled with PN and he has won the respect and adoration of the PNites.

In fact, he goes as far as to take his new shiny PN tires and put them atop bent rims and a rusted frame. Because we all know PN is magic and can cure all those other ills. Of course, now his track times are slow, and the car fell apart around those shiny PNs. But it's all OK....he can brag about his PN filled tires and that makes everything OK.

I think I made my point....
