Prosecutors say Snipes fraudulently claimed refunds in 1996 and 1997 on taxes already paid, and failed to file returns between 1999 and 2004. Each count carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Snipes stars in the "Blade" trilogy, Spike Lee's "Jungle Fever". and the 1992 blockbuster "White Men Can't Jump." |
