Re: Lets talk GUNS

I recommend shooting a few before you make a decision. There are many gun ranges where you can rent a variety of guns and see what you like.

A few questions - why are you set on a .40? Have you considered a 9mm? A 9 mm is much cheaper to shoot than a .40 if you put a lot of rounds through it. You'll notice the .40 is the same frame size as a 9 mm. If you can carry a larger frame, I'd go for a .45. In my opinion it shoots better than a .40 because the balance is better for all the pistols I've shot.

The XD is a nice gun. So are the glocks. You might prefer the XD because you can get it with an external safety (w/the kids around, etc). If you will consider a 9mm, the new ruger is nice, beretta 92 is a great gun. Although HKs are great guns, they are out of your price range.

PM me if you want to talk more.
