Re: GM to pull the plug on Pontiac

As long as we're all playing arm chair CEO my ideal off the top of my head would be:

Chevrolet: - the "mass market" brand - everything from the Aveo to the Malibu (very successful sales numbers) to the Camaro and Corvette and pickup trucks. No panel vans, no box trucks GMC dealers get those.

GMC: the commercial truck division. box trucks, panel vans, etc. Dealerships are re tuned to deliver top commercial brand sales and service. No pickups here. **maybe** a line of stake body or specialty trucks build on pickup chassis developed specifically for certain industries but NO conventional pickup trucks.

Saturn (possibly): The entry level/"punk" brand - Chevy dealers give up a corner of the showroom to the new Saturn brand. Small, cheap, and funky. Radical marketing.

Cadillac - the luxury division period. No Cimmarons or catera's ever. Strictly top level, top performing luxury based cars. Everything else is a chevy.

Bye Bye Pontiac, Buick, Saab (sell), Hummer, etc.
