Subject: Star Trek Corvette by Ultraman on 2009/12/31 0:07:58 I got a kick out of the scene in the new Star Trek movie ( we just rented it, missed it at the theater last summer) where the young Kirk is hauling ass down the road in the 65 roadster. When he starts to pop the top I yelled don't do it and bang he blew the top clear off that thing. It reminded me of the night I was scooting right along and reached up to adjust the t-top on my 79 and popped it open and was instantly topless. Not much left when I found it. Alcohol may have been involved. Nobody hurt though. I did not like it when Kirk ran it off the cliff. I could only think of what that car must have been worth in 2300 something. It was a nice looking Vette. They would have C30 or C40's by then. |
