I liked the concept... but hated the implementation. Think about this for a moment: Someone has a ragged out 1970s thing and cannot afford anythign newer. Why didn't the feds inspect all these cars and put them on the market at a reduced price to the poor? It goes along the lines of an idea I had for the State of Delaware fleet cars. Instead of just actioning them off, price fix them for the underprivledged. They are late model, rather well maintained and reliable. Wouldn't a 5 YO Malibu be better than a 20 YO Escort? |
