Are you considering getting the oil tested?

I'm draining oil as I type this. I'm draining it into a new clean plastic container and will strain it for any particlulate. I'll save a sample in a clean container for profesional analysis if I decide that is warranted.

Amsoil offers oil testing for about $35 but I know that the engine has failure somewhere internally so knowing chromium, lead, etc levles from the analysis may not really tell me anything I don't already know.
