Buying a car (especially one that can cost a ton of $$$ in the long run) that you don't want is pointless. Unfortunately, without knowing the actual condition of the frame and other components, it's hard to say the actual value. Although $5k does sound like a good deal for a big block (with one chrome bumper, at least). I'd say get it checked out by someone skilled in C3s and know the weak points. They can give you a valid estimate of repairs and that can help you decide. Matthew |
