In Downey, there is an old, 60's-style burger joint called Frisco's (similar to the old Ricky and Ronnies, but smaller). Thought maybe that was the venue.
They host a Weds night cruise-in that, for some reason, I am never able to attend.
Ah, no... Bob's Big Boy Broiler, on Firestone at Old River.
Oh, sounds like maybe the old location oh Johnie's Broiler, the site of many a movie location (American History X, The Game, Matchstick Men, Heat, many, many others). Haven't been to Downey in half of forever. Didn't realize they did anything with that site.
