Joe and I were talking the other day and figured the boots have to be factory based on the way they are on the harness. They are one piece (no open seam), and there is no way to slip them over the injector plug. Fast forward to yesterday, and I was looking at a guy's 86 - sure as heck, there were the injector boots on his car. So it seems they were factory on early cars, but I don't know the year range. Maybe we can get a consensus of when they were. I've seen 88s that didn't have them and I know my 89 doesn't currently. So I'm assuming a year range of 85-87, but it might be more narrow than that.
