If it was yours before the wreck you can buy it from the insurance company, and fix it yourself. Then you have to have the HP inspect it (for its first inspection) Some aren't bad. A friend used to do this as his business. One score was a year old Explorer that was marked with a locked up engine and a dent in the rear quarter. He picked it up for 3k. The engine was fine besides a cracked oil pan. It turned out the person had ran off of the road, but when the tow truck was pulling it out it snagged on a rock causing its damage. It shouldn't of even been at the auction. |
