Yeah I need those at times but not really as much.
I am still deciding if I have the patience to TIG, in which case I will need to take some classes.
I find that I can produce better (purddier) welds with a TIG than I can with my MIG (But my MIG is not a GOOD MIG, it's an adequate MIG). It's a 110v Lincoln, 110 so I can take it to the racetrack. But I've never had a weld fail using the 110. Practicing on a TIG - you get "up to speed" fairly fast.
I just can't justify the cost for a decent one, good used Miller/Lincolns are $1,500.
