Even though he worked for Fisher Body (GM) as a diemaker he could get a nice discount on Nash cars because his Dad worked at Nash Kelvinator. He bought a new one every 2 years. I can still see the mint green 57 Rambler he bought brand new. We broke it in on a road trip from Michigan to my Mother's parents house near Dallas. It actually had a REAR SPEAKER! We could listen to Elvis and Buddy Holly rockin and a rollin on Route 66. My kid sister spilled an entire chocolate shake down into that rear speaker and it never worked again  We loved the Burma Shave signs  Let me go out to the garage and take a couple of quick pics. |
