Back then you didn't mention (or didn't know about) the NOM. We need a "This Thread is Worthless Without Pics" smiley. To really know, you need to do one of 2 things. 1. Post about 20 pics, I can come up with a list of what you need to take (like what side is the hood prop on? Is there a rear sway bar, condition of the inside of the fenderwells, etc.). 2. Spend $250 - $300 to have a Florida NCRS guy look at the car. The NOM changes things big time (but only with the price)and a NOM C2 is still a C2 and worth acquiring. Thing is, you can't even prove it's a real big block, there's no paperwork or build sheet available. 67 is the first year that had build sheets on the gas tank and is the only way to verify a true BB. Not that much of a big deal since it's NOM. There's just a boatload of questions that need to be answered like, what Horsepower, what's the tach redline, etc. Obviously there's a hell of a difference between $35k and $50k. Decent drivers can be found for $30k but you have to look at the condition of the car. $30k can turn into $65k real easy. IIRC, you said something about a recent restoration. Frameoff? You need to know if the suspension's been rebuilt, trailing arms have been rebuilt, etc. I'll be glad to help, let me know. BUT, you're going to have to do your homework to get a reasonable deal. |
