Nesquehoning means narrow valley in Mohawk or Algonquin...it is in Carbon County 4 miles from the County Seat....which is Jim Thorpe PA a Mountain Bike/ Whitewater Rafting/Paintball Mecca in the East. The mountains, streams, and lakes make it a beautiful place to do anything winter or summer related. We have some of the best Motorcycle roads, trout fishing,auto racing, hunting....well you get the picture...I'll always love "The Burgh" but I'll never move away from here. It is about 25 miles from Tannersville as the crow flies. |
