The guy I am looking at throws in a free torque converter. Pete tells me the converter they are offering is equal quality to what he offers. Now, I spoke to Pete, and he said I get one stall change with the purchase. SO, if I can absorb some of this expense by taking the free converter from the trans guy, I can sell my PeteK converter, and it can be changed to any stall you want. So here's what I'm thinking. I'll take $400 for my converter, I'll send it back to Pete, he'll get the stall changed to whatever you want, and you have a new converter for $400. They will clean it all up and re pack it as if it were brand new. I get to justify the purchase to my wife, and I can get my new tranny sooner rather than later. You get a cheap converter, I get my trans, win/win as far as I can see... SO....whatta think? |
