I purchased only one movie so far. Cars (Pixar) I own it on DVD as well. I saw and actually heard things I never noticed before. The picture is outstanding. If you have an HDMI input on your TV, you can run a standard HDMI cable from the PS3 to your HDTV and it looks bloody fantastic!
I love my PS3, I have quite a collection of Blu Ray's now. The SPiderman Trilogy looks awesome and I also have Cars. When I got mine, they included an offer for 5 free Blu Ray's, I got Blazing Saddles,Underworld Evolution, Transporter 2, The Devils Rejects and Pearl Harbor. The pickin's were slim, but for free, I'll take them.
As for games, my bro just got me motorstorm and the fiancee got me NASCAR 08 and a few others. I bought for myself Stuntman Ignition. I love them all so far. I'll be waiting impatiently for GT5
