Haiti is an absolute cesspool of curruption and poverty. They haven't been able to get themselves out of the pit forever. When the quake hit, the media has been talking about all these homeless people... yea, how many were homeless before the quake? Fights and riots at relief centers? uh... ok... they needed the centers BEFORE the quake. Verizon was offering free phone calls to Haiti... hm... They have phones? And after the quake, how many are still working? |
