Subject: What a difference shocks and brakes make! by NelsonV on 2012/11/26 3:30:50 I guess I've been a little behind in my C5's maintenance. After 155Kmi, my F45 shocks were shot. And I don't recall the last time brakes were done. But IIRC, my brother Virgil owned the car at the time and probably used store brand parts. So I've been on the fence about shelling out cubic dollars for new F45 shocks, or disabling the F45 altogether and getting something aftermarket like Bilsteins. Well, I found a great deal on some low mile F45 take-offs. And I also had some Baer Racing pads laying around that are spares for the Chevelle (it has C5 brakes). It's all in now. And the car handles/drives/brakes as a C5 should! I shouldn't waited so long! Andy had my car a few weeks ago and didn't gripe much. But I get a lot of butt-time in this ride and I'm sure back to being a happy Corvette owner! |
