Of all the things, Drywall

Subject: Of all the things, Drywall
by jhammons01 on 2008/3/19 4:17:41

So, heading down the 57 back to Orange county....driving along at about 60 mph.

A red Jetta in front of me...maybe 3 car links at best. traffic was semi heavy.

I noticed a bunch of crap on the roadway. The Jetta drives directly over a rounded off piece of drywall, all tires completely straddling the piece.

The Wind turbulence pulls the sheet up on it's end. I had no time to react at all....not even lift from the gas.

The nose of the C4 pierced that drywall smack dead center! The thing disintegrated from the impact and drywall pebbles and dust......it went every where.....

In the rear view mirror..just dust.

I guess if you were watching it would have looked pretty cool.

When I got home the hood, windshield, mirrors everything had white chalk marks on it. A few pebbles were still stuck in the turn signals and a few chunks were riding along by the wipers.

It all washed off without and visible damage.

There is no point to the thread...just thought I'd share.
