Check out 3M high temp contact adhesive. I don't have the info in front of me but it's in some of the race catalogs. I've used it to attach flexible heatshields to fiberglass that's about 1 1/2 inches from headers.

I've also used it to put nomex (very close to headliner material) on some seats.
Just be sure to wait long enough for it to tack up. If it's still a little wet, it can bleed thru the material.
