Yea and is a pretty cool guy in his own right. I first met him as an E7 at Ft Monmouth in the mid 80's. While I was in Afghanistan in 03 he and the 35th Bde Cdr stopped by to see us at Bagram. We sat and talked for about 30 minutes before I had to give a brief. The Bn Cdr LtCol gabrielson was amazed that the CSM and Col both spent time talking to an old army enlisted guy working as a CECOM LAR. I gained a little extra respect from the SYSCON staff after that visit. They are both retired now. Ran into him at Ft Bragg summer of 05 shortly after his return from Iraq. |
