Congrats on the payoff! I was lucky enough to pay off both vettes within a few months of each other.

One was paid off with a tax refund and the other with the profit off a land sale.

Now if I could just pay off my truck!!!!

My first loan I actually overpaid and was sent a refund check, that's always nice.

As for financing a car through your house, I've thought about it. I have enough equity to but a Bentley, but why? I don't need a Bentley.

I'd rather keep my house paid off as it is right now and not have to worry.

I can understand the why worry about savings when you have to make a mortgage payment anyway, might as well live it up.

But I'm lazy and if my house is paid off, I only have to worry about taxes and utilities. If I refinanced my house to buy another car, I'd have to work everyday again, I don't want to.
I'm comfortable they way it is.

I'd rather take the money that I was paying towards my car and put it away so I could buy my next car for cash and not have a payment.

Once my truck is paid off and the wife's car, that'll be $1200 in my pocket each month that I didn't have, and that will be nice to have.
