Subject: Re: Who's Replaced an L98 AIR Pump? by volzfan on 2009/3/8 14:38:33 If you know a machinist, or have access to a lathe and mill and can do your own work (I am fortunate in that respect), you could do what I did. I fabricated this one out of 1/2" aluminum, some 3/4" aluminum barstock for the "standoffs", and bored an old alternator pulley out for bearings. The bearing mount is a piece of 1 1/2" steel shafting out of the scrap bin at the machine shop. May or may not be your cheapest route, but I like the way it looks much better than the aftermarket kits available from most suppliers. |
