Bought it from Rockauto for $60 then found out that my solenoid was the culprit so I bought headers and deleted the entire system.
It was on my car for less than 100 miles.

Call it $40 shipped and it's yours.

What happens when you delete the system. How does it effect the car?

Wow, that's a tough question to answer. Removing the EGR requires that you get a chip that deletes the EGR otherwise you have a code 32 constantly. I've read that it can cause predetonation also but as long as you run premium gas that sound not be a problem. I don't know that it really improves performance or anything. My EGR system was not functional from the time I bought the car. I bought the EGR Valve and replaced it with this one, still code 32 so I put the old one back on. I found out that the EGR Solenoid was bad and it is no longer available.

I ended up buying the cheaper hedman headers with no EGR provisions so I eventually removed everything EGR related. I have yet to get the chip because I'm not sure what other mods I want to do to the car.

I would say that if you are not going to do much to your Vette and you can keep the EGR system working then do it.
