Military Service Issues:: A great story, sad but with a great ending!
The family photo with the girl holding her dad's photo was just tragic to me. Wow.

I'm happy so many people pulled together to finish that truck like that.

I know the reporter didn't want to lower/diminish the story, but I want to know the guy's name who stole the 17k. Someone needs to kick his ass.

Matthew

All services went to the 9mm due to the cheaper round, NATO round and females could fire it without taking their head off.
My weapon of choice military wise is this, SCAR 16 chambered in the 7.62 X 51 long barrel.
<img src='http://homepage.mac.com/topcover/blog/images/scar-h-1_thumb.jpg' border='0' alt='Original Image' onload="JavaScript:if(this.width>300) this.width=300" />

Military Service Issues:: Longest Leave/absence you had while on duty?
I was really lucky in 1998 when I got out of the Marine Corps (the first time). I had 60 days saved up and got approved to take 45 days terminal leave.... Sold the rest back.

When I got out (for the final time) in 2007, even thou I had more time on the books, I was told that current policy is max 30 days leave.
Will

Glad you stopped in Johnny. The thought of owning a Viper is more fun than owning one IMO. Not very practical.

Fantastic pic!

My dad's dad was a pilot. He passed a few years ago. I wish I had some photos like that. My uncle has all of that stuff, and he isn't about to let anyone else get close enough to look at it.

Rather unfortunate.

I just watched "Taking Chance" on HBO the other night - a very moving depiction of such an event. Eternal gratitude to all who have given so much.
