I GOT THE NO GLOSS, SHOULD HAVE GOT THE SEMI-GLOSS, BUT MAYBE A LITTLE LIQUID WAX WOULD FINISH IT OFF RIGHT. THIS STUFF WORKED SO WELL I MAY GET SOME RED AND DO SOME TOUCH UP ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT.

THANKS FOR THE TIP, BILL

They are basically stinky hand soap.

If brake cleaner doesn't phase it,my next step would be carb cleaner, the type in the bottle. If that doesn't work then you need to get crazy... try some paint stripper/remover or graffiti remover from your local hardware store. This stuff can be very harsh so wear hand protection.

You say they have no clearcoat, but the fronts surely still do (I know this because I had to use this stuff and lots of labor to remove mine.

Kevin, any cleaner, even dish-soap, cuts into the grime a little, but just not fast enough. In my early days, I would have accepted the cleaning as a challenge, but I don't need to do that anymore. I'm sure gasoline would work nicely.

Re the clear-coat: the vertical surface has 'good' clear-coat, but the outer rim shows signs of degradation. These wheels need to be refinished. I'm not cleaning them for me, I'm cleaning them for the
next owner. If a refinishing shop just dumps them into a stripping bath, then I'm wasting my time.

Thanks for the info.......
I hadn't heard of it until your post, so I did some searching around. I didn't find a non-sponsored review until I got to page 3 of a Google search - there was some fairly positive discussion on a couple of forums. The fact that it is an Armor-All product would probably give me some pause (I'm not a fan). For everyday protection, I'm pretty happy with Rejex.

Just so you know, I super cleaned my mag valve covers and sent them off to have powder coated. The guy even flamed them and they are so easy to keep clean. Before I sent them out I even polished them with a buffing wheel and they looked like polished aluminum, BUT, they only held the shine for a few months. That's why I went to powder coating.

I too like the Mequire's products. I just bought a clay bar kit from them and the NXT for the C5. I used the system on the C4 and was very impressed with it. Also use the detail spray.

Now all I have to do is get it done..........
