After reading yesterday’s posts I’m glad you’re doing reasonably well.
Gris I’m glad your wife had as good a day as possible. I’m like you I think. I’m getting tired of candy-ass political crap. They need to focus on what the country needs more than the power they crave.
And Tee, your day sounds like it was certainly action packed.
I’m on lunch now and thought I’d look in on things to keep up. As for snow, last evening the daughter said she was getting snow, but it was sprinkling rain here. I guess it’ll freeze so the morning can be an adventure for the rush hour.

A start of week number two on the graveyard shift. It still stinks.
But I did find an interesting use of time on Saturday night. Since I was up, I had some extra pneumatic hose on hand so I re-plumbed the air supply lines around the garage. It went better than I expected, but still took about 3-hours. About half of that was trying to figure out pipe connections and chasing down leaks and sealing them. All in all, I’m glad it’s done. The old lines were cheap to begin with, and they were 23 years old.
That’s it for me today, gotta hit the sack.

I agree Gris. It’s upsetting to know that the vast majority of people that want to stop it need to be at work everyday instead of stopping the nazi party.

Hi everyone. It looks like I’m not alone in having my days mixed up.
Letty, you’re not the only one, As for the appointment mix-up, one of the guys at work did the same thing on Monday. He even used a full vacation day for it, and now he’s got to do it again for the actual appointment.

Tommy, it sounds like you’re going to have a lot of quality time in the chair. I sure hope it goes well.

Thanks Letty for the encouragement. I need it to work out, but it wasn’t done by choice. The Big Brains at work decided to shut down a shift and second was it. I could have gone to 1st, but there’s way too much, “authority, “ walking around along with those people who believe they have authority. I’m getting too old and crabby to deal with those types.

On the positive side, had the Friday lunch with homies and got to have a really great discussion with one of them who’s currently selling the business he started. It a business selling business systems, and related cash cow interests. We’ve known each other since about’74 and whenever I’m part of a conversation he’s in, I come out feeling like I’ve learned something.

Hi guys.
Today in the Buckeye I had snow flurries as I left the palatial double-wide.
Once at lunch I mentioned to the Homies that I thought the seasons were changing when they actually hit by the calendar. I was promptly chided by the crowd. Don’t remember snow this late, but I guess it happens.
Got word yesterday I may be required to work tomorrow and Saturday. Supposed to be a 3-day holiday. Don’t really want to, but if I’m required to do it I guess I’ll be complaining all the way to the bank. Holiday plus OT stacks up nicely, y’know.
Other than that, not much on my end .

I don’t do my own taxes, so I’m not sure what changes are happening.
I’m certainly not in the high earners like the article is focused on.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that is concerned. I think we’ve all made some kind of sacrifice to save for retirement and it scares the crap out of me that it even becomes a talking point. But from what I understand, there’s about 17 Trillion bucks in retirement accounts and Democrats just feel like they’ve gotta get their grubby mitts on it.

I’ve been attempting to look in, but work has been awful this week.
Answering to three bosses, a shiz starting third shifter, and a group leader with a god complex all came to a head this week. It was not my happy place.
I was very close to telling them all to do it themselves, I’m gone.
But I really don’t want that to be the basis of retirement, so I gut it out.
I was talking to one o my homies about it. I told him that if I leave under those conditions, I’m gonna do the right thing, and take someone’s teeth with me.
I’m getting old, but at 6’3”/260, I think I can still at least catch their attention 😁.

Anyway, like I said, a pretty crummy week.
At least I have the weekend off!

Good day all.
Crummy weather in the Buckeye today with freezing temps by morning.
Took a day off to gather with the homies yesterday. Ended up partying noon til 8 last Evening. Fortunately there was enough of an unmasked crowd to slow down table service to keep us all protected from our own over indulgence. Even got a t-shirt for my troubles!
Weather report says there were tornadoes in the south last night.
Always a bad thing, but I’m hopeful that Letty was nowhere near those areas.

While I’ve been off work yesterday and today, having to deal with an arrogant group leader at work has me feeling tremendously stressed. To the point where the Missuz asked me yesterday to retire.

I’m sorry about your mom U-man. I envy you that you were able to be there at the time. For different reasons I was not able to be there for mine.

It seems as though I’m about to enjoy two consecutive days off. I know I need the rest, but I feel like I’m not where I’m supposed to be. Now I need to figure out how to use the time so other don’t figure out how to use my time.🧐

Between my own night owl stubbornness and the needs needs of the household, I get about 4.5 -7 hours a night. I can tell you, this week I’ve tried getting more by hitting the sack earlier, but it’s not working. I’ve been fatigued and grumpier this week, but I think it’s the 1st vax shot I got Monday.
I’m on break at work right now, so I’m going to have to stop here.

Well, I got the 1st shot this morning. No soreness yet at 3 hours in. Do feel a little sleepy, but probably from getting up early.
The home front is AOK so far, and the biggest problem I detect today is figuring out a thermostat housing for the Vette. This one’s been a real brain teaser.
Now, on to the work “20.”

Hmmmm, once again I have nothing to report. Working too much I guess. Against my better judgment I’m getting my first installment of vaccine tomorrow morning. All reports say the 2nd is the worse of the two. If I’m not back in a day or two, you guys’ll figure it out.🤡
I asked Harassment-Resources (HR) if difficult reactions to the vaccine could be considered excused absence. They consider it a voluntary choice and missed work an un-excused absence. Great.

Just another Wednesday here. Trying not to be too white so I can have a coke later. I guess if I try a little more each day I’ll eventually stop being so horrible. But no matter how white and horrible I am, no one minds accepting my tax money.

Well after reading of the construction horrors in yesterday’s posts, I don’t feel quite as bad. In our platt, the builder was sued by the original owners for cutting too many corners. 15 years ago we did a big remodel and it was a nightmare.
We had a project manager that left the state without any notification to his employer, friends, etc.
after a couple weeks I called to find out why we hadn’t seen any workers, they started giving excuses, but had to eventually admit what they knew about the guy that left.
The next thing was tradesmen showing up not knowing what they were there t9 do. I missed a great amount of work because of them and their irresponsible actions.
To this day, i still believe the only reason they work in home improvement is because they’re not responsible enough to work in a car wash.

Andy, it sounds like you had a great time! I have a school chum that lives in NorCal id like to visit and hit some shows with. I can only imagine the cherry an/or wild and gorgeous rides I’d see out there.
I could stand to drop a few pounds myself, but I never remember my goals until I’ve finished the Snickers bar. Then it’s remorse and self loathing.

I’m probably going to get the shot, but it’s for my family. If it was just me I think I’d be somewhere else, off the grid, or close to it.

Regarding the criminal non-citizens, earlier this week I was in a convenience store and overheard some local guys talking about it.
They brought up the FB posting that says, “millions of gun owners, billions of rounds of ammo. If they were the problem you’d know it.”
These guys amended it to say,” maybe they should be now”
I’m not too sure I can go along with that, but I understand the frustration with things.
