This is a tricky question; all I want is the last name of the family involved.

The 300 1953 Corvette’s made were mostly given away as promotional pieces to celebrities. A few were sold, though. Who was the first family to actually buy a 1953 Corvette?

Based on looking at the pic it is having fuel issues. Dead pumps and possible fubar'd injectors.

12,000 miles is no longer really special.

How about 179 miles?

I do a minimal walk around tires, general body shape (accident damage) odd looking alignments, but that is about the most you can do with all 4 wheel on the ground.

Considering annodized alum is used in the aerospace industry, doubt the process weakens alum. Might call NASA and ask them though. They use anodizing.

I strongly urge you to not powder your suspension pieces. The powder will cover up any flaw or cracks that may develop in the alum material. If you are looking to shine them up and coat them, I believe POR-15 sells a clear.

There is a pintle valve on the fuel pump assembly. Yours has rusted or gotten stuck. It's not allowing for air expansion or vacuum in the fuel tank.

I've gotten tired of the Corvette hoopla and other BS, I've been looking around and the next one will definitely be Euro. The E39 M5 is a work horse. Solid car, 400 hp, handles great and has good looks as well.

But in regard to the belt, you don't buy a compact car and expect to have oodles of room to work in the engine bay.

But if you are looking for comfortable room for 4, you are in a 5 series.

1) Have fuel to rail 38 psi which is within range
2) Fuel to cylinders, test light pulsing on injector when starting, plugs have fuel smell as well.
3) Spark at each cylinder.

Cranks over like a champ but does not catch.

Distributor was set at TDC. At wits ends on this.

About done with the assembly of the engine on the 85 and I have one extra wire that is currently hanging down the driver side of the trans tunnel. Single connector, light blue wire and has an connector like the knock sensor.

Going nuts trying to find where this little bastard connects.

Any help?

These things are an absolute nightmare to do anything on. I mean doing injectors sucks, the water pump sucks, and especially removing the engine is an absolute nightmare. Only to be capped by the install of the motor.

Just the sheer number of crap that is on this thing.

928's are pretty cool cars. Drivetrain is set up like the C5/C6 with a torque tube. Engine is also similar to a LT5 with the 4 cam V8. And it is extremely expensive to maintain and replace parts on. But if you are starting out with a car for free, why not. The later 928 GTS versions have held their value well, bu the early ones, not so much.

As far as shipping, most shippers will charge anywhere from 50-100% more for a non running vehicle, due to the extra work to load and unload the car.

Good luck!

CC, welcome to the hell I had for months back in May-July.

Nobody carries the 84-87 offset for the 5 spokes anymore. I think it finally reached a point of market saturation, and people started to go with the C5 Z06 style or C6 style wheels.

I settled for the C5 Z06 for the race car, and it took a helluva hit in an accident and became a two piece wheel.
