Marcus, never let your AVG not update, but sometimes these little buggers get through and disable things like AVG and other important features. Then it's a real PITA to clean it up.

I'm getting my stuff together and readying for another 6 hour day in the Corvette (he says with a smile on his face). I waiting until the rush hour traffic calms down some. The wife and I may go get something to eat first.

Hey guys...thanks for the well wishes. I've made it to KC 6 hours and 45 minutes....38 minutes for a gas/lunch break. Traffic wasn't bad until I got to around Topeka, then it was not fun from there on. The ole 'Vette was making around 27mpg (26.8 actually). The temps were as high as 103, good thing the AC works well. Bill, you've made some headway with those cabinets. Matt, glad you got the pool going, I'm sure that it will be well worth it. Brad sounds like you got the same hot weather we do....do you have the wind as well? It was blowing about 30mph making it a blast furnace.

Get up tomorrow and head out about 8:30 on another 6 hour drive. Should get to Effingham by mid afternoon.

Matt, CL can be a pain in the Arse, but overall I've had pretty good luck selling things there. Marcus, it's going to be hot here too, looking for 102 today.

I'm getting the Corvette ready to go to Effingham, Ill to Mid America Motorworks for CorvetteActionCenter CruiseFest Thursday and Friday. We will leave for KC tomorrow then up and gone Weds morning to get to Effingham Weds afternoon.

Evening guys....Matt we you at the same wedding as me? That is a very good description of the wedding I attended. 500 or so people, lots of alcohol flowing. I was up until about 3...But I got up at 7:15 to go to church and then an hours drive to a mens group gathering. I just got home about an hour ago. My head hurts and I'm dead tired. morning guys.....I hope I can get this off, we are in an even smaller town this weekend and I'm hooked to a neighbors Internet. I got here last night then drove over to Great Bend to watch the test and tune night at the drags. My little brother rides his 'bobber' Harley. 13.02/100. They had some cars doing 18 seconds and one doing 7.2xx/170. It was a good evening.

This morning I've been helping the SIL and hubby get the last details set up for the wedding. I've got to take a shower and get ready.....2 hours to the wedding, and I've got a few odd jobs to do right before.

I'm pretty sure I know why she can't stand up straight.

Where do you get this Tigerwood? Did the search and it looks good. I found that I'd have to go to KC to get it. What kind of price is it?

Marcus, I thought of something else that is a common issue with C5's rear end axle seals have a tendency to seep....mine does, but it's not that much of a problem with mine.

Morning guys.....I've been up and at 'em for a while already, working on two more computers. Transferring data from the old one to the new one. We actually had a little bit of rain last night, maybe .3 better than none. Going to be hot again today, we might actually have to turn the AC on.

Congrats to Don on the win. Bill, we'd still take some of that moisture you have extra. Brad, have you decided to re-deck? Tommy, that what happens when you have so much to do....Tossin and turnin.

Marcus, personally that 02 doesn't sound bad to me. The price is reasonable and I would not worry at all about the miles. The CL issue doesn't pertain to 01 and up Auto cars. The only thing I would be concerned with at all would be the seat foam. GM didn't put the most durable foam in the seats, but that's an easy, relatively cheap fix. You'll be amazed at the power, comfort, ease of entry and egress and amount of luggage space in a C5 coupe. I'd say go for it.

Evening guys....it's been a heck of a busy day. Hot, Windy miserable....summer is officially here. I worked my arse off trying to get a printer to work with Win7...SOB wouldn't work with any freaking driver I found. Finally I gave up and emailed tech support, hopefully they can give me an answer. Took the cylinder over to have the leaky seal fixed...they'll call me when it's done.

Since I got home, I've fixed supper and have been cleaning the house. Those three boys around all day can almost destroy the place.

I have lots planned for today. It was a short night, working on a computer until after midnight, then up early to go install the new one I built and get it networked (workgroup) and the printers installed and sharing enabled. Then I have to head for the 'city' to take my hydraulic cylinder, from my lift, over to have new seals put in (one of the pains of buying a Chinese brand product).

Supposed to be hot again today and windy....better get to it.

Still using FF (ver 4.0.1), I have noticed some memory leakage and when it goes to sleep, sometimes it takes a while to come around...and sometimes I just have to shut the computer down to release that memory and start again.

Kind of wish I'd stuck with 3.6.x Anyone know if I can go back?

Oh, to stay on topic......I hate IE too.

I've been working pretty hard today too. Worked on the computers at wife's work, while I was there, the maintenance man from the county courthouse caught me and asked me to repair some chairs from the courtroom, the ones that the jurors sit in. They have a big jury trial next week and needed them fixed. So I took them home and repaired them and have returned them. Then I decided to call about my leaky hydraulic cylinder on my lift, $1000 if they come out and fix it about $300 if I remove the cylinder and take it to them....so I took the cylinder off and will take it over tomorrow. Then the rest of the computer parts came in for a computer I'm building for a local business and I have put it together and have windows installed (Win7 is a breeze to install).

I'd pick up one like that for $2K too. Congrats.

Morning guys....I have been up to the wife's office working on computers again. She's leaving for a couple days to Wichita for meetings, so I'm left with the grandsons. The wind isn't blowing today....yet. The temp is supposed to be a little cooler (upper 80's compared to low 100's yesterday)

Glad to hear you are getting things worked out Don. Marcus, it was bound to happen, sooner or later, but it is a Monday on a Tuesday. Bill, you have to get it cleaned up and take some pictures, we're all waiting to see the final product. Matt, I guess you could say I took and extra day.....

Good Memorial day gurus.....Let me chime in too Tommy. Thankfully I never got in that position (maybe a couple of binges), but I can fully respect the work and dedication that it requires to get clean. I'd also like to thank all our servicemen for their efforts to make this country what it is.

We are under wind advisory today....35-50 and higher gusts, it's going to be a fun trip home today.

Live band right outside the in-laws house, so I can't go to sleep yet. They are supposed to shutdown in a few minutes. I'm bushed from being outside all day and on my feet. I'll check in in the morning.....

Greetings gurus....We had an early tee time, so I just got back, took a shower and then headed down to the festivities. There are lots of people here for the reunion. The population of the little town has probably quadrupled today. People we haven't seen in 25-30 years...some of them look pretty old. I'm glad I haven't changed any, but their mminds aren't as good because I have to tell a lot of them who I am.....

Well, I'm headed back down, it warmed up here, mid 90's.

evening guys....Just got home from visiting the BIL. I drove the in-laws so that meant we took their mini-van. Found out today that the big parade comes right by their house, so we don't have to go anywhere. Just pull the chairs out in front and have a seat.

One of our classmates asked me today if I was driving the Corvette in the parade...I don't think so, "Well you can go right in front of our float"...we'll see.

Headed to bed I'll check in, in the morning...if I can get on.

Hard to beat white though.....they look so classy. But you know what? I haven't seen a Corvette that I wouild turn down if given to me.

Morning guys...Spotty access, so I hope I can make this work. Tommy, my wife says that too. but most of the things she complains about are physically painful to me. My knees suck anymore. I do go socialize occasionally, but most of the time it's a bunch of stuck-up or boring people.

Marcus, That's darn sure what I'll use when it comes time to "re-deck". Not to brag, but I've got a pretty big deck and my wife loves it. I just don't get to use it like we did when we were younger.

I've been thinking about just getting a pressure washer and blasting the crud off and treating it with a natural preservative.

I don't have much planned for today. The Corvette is on solid ground and I have some of the stuff loaded into it already. The wife will be home around 4 and we will head for home town and the big all class reunion this weekend. I'm taking a computer, but I really don't expect I'll have time or (more than likely) an internet connection, so I probably not be on for a couple of days.

Tommy, the restoration project will be worth it for the sentimental value the car holds. Marcus, you have as much chance as anyone here, but don't worry about it. Don, I should really do something with my redwood deck. That sander looked like a neat deal, I'll have to check around and see if some place has one.

Evening guys....I spent the morning working on computers, cleaning the crap out of them and getting them back to an acceptable performance. This afternoon I spent in the shop building a drawer and a cabinet door (two separate jobs) and undating the maps on my Garmins.

Tomorrow I get the Corvette out and get it loaded for the weekend trip.

Morning guys.....I slept as good as I have in a month. Not much going on today. Go work on a couple of computers. Looks to be a nice day, sunny, mid 70's but windy again. Wife and I went for a bike ride too after the wind subsided a bit, about 3 miles.

We have an "all school reunion" this weekend. The school we went to is consolidating with another district (our rivals as we were growing up) and somebody thought this would be a good time to do this. So we are headed back to our hometown for the festivities. I sure hope Tommy gets the car show thread started before we leave so I can get my entry in.

Got to head out and get those computers cleaned of a bunch of junk.

I'm officially done with this school year....wooohooooo. I finished up the paper work and was able to check out with the principal and came home. Not that I won't end up back there several times this summer....I don't HAVE to go back until August.

Morning guys.....You guys are up and at 'em early today. I'm at school putting in a "VocEd" day. Finishing up the paper work sh!t. It's going to be cool and windy....and I do mean windy 25-50 mph and gusts to 60+. We're on the tail end of that massive storm that has produced all those nasty storms the last few days. But that's pretty much all we've got wind and about .1 inch of rain. South, east and north of us they got some substantial rains.

I'm glad my wife doesn't read this site, she'd be expecting me to be Tommy Doubtfire. Actually I get into those moods and will do that....usually it's in the garage or my shop though. Marcus, have you guys missed most of the nasty stuff? Don, $650K would help out considerably. 35th Anniversary editions are nice, they are pretty. I hope it turns out for your friend. I don't like to think about using a mallet like that...ouch, but I understand the analogy.

Well, I got to head out to meet up with the rest of the VocEd people.

It's sprinkling a little and looks like it could actually rain. Not holding my breath, but hoping. I got the desk unit all installed and the computer back up and running, the client is happy. I forgot to take my camera to get pictures of the final product. Maybe I'll run back out there and do that.

I wonder what would happen if I drove my pickup into one of those....didn't look like there was much "head room" once the vehicle got to the parking area.

Morning guys...I'm up, I think. I'm feeling a bit like Tommy this morning, achy-breaky. Elbow hurts, knees hurt and I have that desk unit to install today, not seeing that as too much fun in my condition. But at least I have a condition, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Weather here is supposed to be seasonably cool and maybe, just maybe, a chance for a shower or two.

Rich glad you came out of the storm with relatively minor damage. Oh, Tommy, I fought the urge to click on Billy Ray, so that song is not running through my head. Have a great day Marcus....
