They cancelled school here today because of the snow Tom. Ultrawoman is a teacher and she loves the snow days. Of course so do the kids, go figure!
Bill, did you say you took all that tile back? What up with that? You know when we put new floors in the kitchen and dinning room we looked at a lot of options. We ended up going with a product called Dura Ceramic by Congolium. We like it a lot. It is warm to the touch not cold like the ceramic tiles but still looks like a ceramic tile. You have the option of butting them togeather or using grout and you know the problems you can have with grout over the years. If you are still in decision mode you might want to look at it. We like it!

Nice Brad, nothing like a bowl of homemade chili with some grated sharp chedder and a handfull of chopped raw onions thrown in on top. Mmmmmmm! That's making me hungry! I better get a pot going.
Yeah Matt, you don't want to mess around with that. Lot's of broncites going around right now. Hope you can get her in and get some meds going today. Woke up to about a foot of new snow and have been out making a path to the garage. It's the first snow we have had so can't complain much. Still.......I would rather be somewhere getting ready for a day of golf and driving my Vette. The search for the perfect vacuum is over. After taking all the Guru's advice into consideration we ended up with a Dyson DC17. It is not a Ball type, we thought that was a little to weird for us midwestern conservatives. This thing will suck chrome off a bumper though and now even Ultraboy wants to vacuum. Which is all part of my evil plan.  It's Monday so let's be about it Guru's, have a safe day!

I'm sure that the pump will work on a stock engine since there is a fuel pressure regulator that sets the fuel pressure going into the intake. That is what regulates the pressure not just the pump. If I recall those pumps will handle a lot more horsepower and fuel needs but will work well on the stock engine also.
I am not an expert like some of the guys are, but I think a little extra fuel pressure wouldn't hurt much anyway. Someone else will chip in soon with some confermation of that if I am right.

Hi welcome to the site. Hope you can hang out with us. There is a lot of things it can be as Andy is saying. If it is the fuel pump a good one I think is a Walbro 255 pump. They may be a bit more money but I think the quality is there.
A company called Specter Werkes makes a kit for the C4 that provides a new sock and gaskets and screws and such. You could check that out at www.spectergtr.com Thanks for signing up lots of knowledge about Corvettes here and some fun too.

Snow and cold here, we are in the guts of winter now. Went in to the Star City last night for supper and a movie. We ate at Red Robin which is a glorified burger joint. They do have wraps though and that is what my wife likes. I had a french dip sandwich with unending steak fries. It was good.
Then we went to see True Grit. I liked it, it is gritty in that it portrais the people as not pretty and very rough but still they seem to have a code of decency or respect when it came to certain things. There is no sexual material at all which you might think would be possible with a young girl around a lot of bad men. The actress who plays Mattie is very good in her role and Jeff Bridges plays a good mean old drunk one eyed fat man. The gun play was very realistic and they did follow the story line close to the first movie with the Duke. The ending was different than the original but may follow the book. I think I will read the book and find out. I would see it agian but will wait till it comes out on CD's. That is this weeks Guru movie review. I rate it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Have a nice warm comfortable day off guys.

We just had a kid who got suspended from high school in Omaha for driving on the football field and doing damage to it, walk in and shoot the assistant principle with his Dad's glock and then shot the principle as he came to her aid. Assistant principle was killed the principle is in critical. The kids Dad is a detective on the police force. The kid then went for a drive and ended his short and miserable life. What is up with that?

Geez Bill, what did they use to make that hole, an M80? Yes my big Vette plans for the winter may get trimmed down some with the event coming up. We gave her a number we were willing to kick in and the rest is up to them.
I do know a wedding is like a C4, you can throw any amount of money in the world at it.

Morning Guru's! Tommy good to see you are up and getting ready to sieze the day. I've got a men's breakfast at the Church this morning or I would still be snoozing.
I woke up about 5:00 am thinking about stuff. My oldest daughter who lives out in L.A. is going to get married this coming fall so there is a lot of things got to happen before then. Nice Kid she is engaged to, wants to go to Med school. That can't be all bad. Tonight I may take my bride out to eat and then go see True Grit. That sounds like a good evening to me! Hey Andy, on the buttons on the left side of the screen, why can't you put one after Home that reads, Recent Topics?
Then I could click there and go right to the overview of all the forums to see which ones interest me. Then I don't have to scroll down each time through the intros, which I know you gotta have on the Home page. Quick and simple. Now when I am done replying to or reading a thread, I go to the top of that thread and hit Home and then scroll down to the Most Recent Topics and pick out another that I want to read. Instead of hitting Home I would hit Recent Topics and it would take me right there.

I like it. I always go to the home page and then look at all the topics and choose which one I want to participate in or learn from. This means I have to scroll down through all the lead in things to get where I am wanting to be. I don't think there is any way to make that easier. I like the readers cars to pick the place you want to go.

When we were at the Rock show in Denver they announced Woodstock and said that they anticipated 100K folks were going to show up to watch it. Gasp, no way everyone said. I think they had over a million if I remember right. I missed that party also and am glad I did.
I had to work to pay for the Vette.

Holy cow, Bill thats what we call, hell for stout, out here. Tom I thought with all the added room in that C5 you could get 3 people in it. I remember me and 2 buddys took my 65 from Manhattan to Denver for the Rock concert in 1969. Nobody complained, had a pillow between the seats and some road pop in the back. Of course we were all a little thinner back then.
Saw some great bands from back in the day. Three Dog Night, Grand Funk RR Janis J. Jimi Hendrix CCR, who did Ina Godda davida? They were there. I think all those bands were there. I do know there was a lot of funny looking cigarrets being passed around and as luck would have it I found myself sitting by this lovely flower child and ....... Ahh, never mind!

Sunshine and warmer here today. My wife came in around 9 last night and informed me that water was running out of the lawn sprinkler system head. Not a good thing to hear at that time of night. I had winterized the sprinklers last fall but figured out the valve that controls the flow of water to the system did not close all the way and when I tried to lean on it it broke off.
So we filled up some jugs and I shut the pump off (we are on our own well) so we didn't have any water last night and I called the plumber this morning since my day is schedualed tight. We take running water so for granted in this day and age. That's my drama for the moment and I am sure there will be more drama when I see the bill. Go make some money today Guru's you will need it pay for all the stuff that breaks.

Suns coming up and got cakes on the griddle, life can be a funny funny riddle, thank God I'm a country boy! Ever hear a song and can't get it out of your head? I always enjoyed John Denvers work.

Right now we are using my new ShopVac that I got for Christmas. I told her, go ahead and keep it, I will make do with the old ShopVac. She does not think that will work.

The belt is one of the few things that is not that hard to get to on a C4. Especially if you remove some things to clean up the area.

Thanks Tommy! I think she would prefer an uprightous model but might consider the canister style after looking at them. Did you buy online or did you go to a store? I also think a bagless is the best.
Vacs at one time were a door to door sales deal and the prices were always outrageous. My Mom had a Rainbow that you had to have water in the base for it to work. I think she still has it and also a Kirby that I still use out in the office that has to be 30 or more years old. They were always about a thousand bucks it seems and if you bought it today they would throw in the rug shampoo kit for free. Normally a $200 option. Whatever happened to those guys? I think they turned into lot lizards at these huge car dealers.

Tommy you could always cut a bit off the shovel handle to help it fit in the Vette. A two hour drive looking at greenery and some flowers while writing it all off to work is not that bad of deal. That's called windshield time!
My wife said to ask the Guru's about vacume cleaners. We have been buying Wal-Mart stuff but we only get about 6 monthes out of them before something breaks. I would pay 400 to 500 for something decent if I knew what was out there. Any ideas? Got lots going on at work so I better go do it. Let's all have a good day!

The alarm went off at 5:15 this morning, what is up with that? How can the Holidays be over already? This means I must go out and try to make a living again.....and it's cold outside! Well the hardest part is getting started back in it, so one foot in front of the other here we go.
Have a good day back Guru's, everyday is a day closer to green grass and warm sunshine. LOL Brad, Tommy glad you did not get beat up to bad, out here all the farmers buy crop insurance to at least get their input investments back. Mostly hail insurance.

I'm with Brad, the Ford GT is something to behold! I saw one like in the picture at a big Ford dealer when they were offered. It was pretty much a work of art in my book. The dealer had bought it for his own collection. I did not see any C4's on the list.

I don't know what would cause that but when was it serviced last and how many miles are on it? They were not the strongest trannys, I had one go out at 100k and another at 150k. I bought remans both times.

Mmmm, where do I begin.......on the domestic side tangled up garden hoses or extension cords and I still don't know why they moved the dim switch from the floor to the turn signal stalk. I hate moving my hand all the time. Mean people.....I want to kick all their stupid mean asses, in brotherly love of course.

Went up to the church to make coffee this morning and found out it was not our turn. Oh well, we went out to McDonalds for some McMuffins, what a great way to start the day! A McMuffin is the perfect food, it has all the food groups in one handy package. The potato cake is the veggie group.
Nice and sunny but cold here. Tommy, enjoy your day man, someday I want to be able to enjoy that same kind of weather in January and take my C7 to the Keys. Enjoy your Sunday Guru's!
