I think the Vikings' kicker will be applying at McDonald's tomorrow.

Greetings! Another toasty one here today, but I'll be in air-conditioned comfort watching the Vikings-Packers big tilt. I'm off tomorrow for a golf tournament, so naturally there is rain in the forecast.

Marcus, Marcus, Marcus - what is up with your squad? Meanwhile, I'm hoping the Goofers can eke out 3 more victories to be bowl-eligible.

Have a great day, Gurus!

Greetings! Gonna be 92 and muggy here today - not very September-like. It would be nice if Mother Nature could spread this out a little at a time over the next several months instead. But meanwhile, I have an ample supply of tasty beverages to ward off the sweltering.

That is an impressive pile, Letty!

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Happy Friday! Muggy and cloudy here - no biggie, I'm stuck indoors anyway. Mojo to all affected by the hurricane.

We had an intruder:

Hahahaha!

Good morning! It's gonna be sunny and warm again (diggin' it), but sadly the grindstone is whirring, so there won't be much time to enjoy it. Until later, anyway.

I will have to take a look at the cooling system on the Vette - it was running at around 220-221 degrees yesterday, a bit higher than usual.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Hidey-ho! Semi-sunny, but it will be an unseasonable 84 - I'll take it. I have to make a pilgrimage to the office later to pickup a new laptop, so I think I'll dust off the Vette.

Tommy, I can just imagine you on that water slide ;-)

Meanwhile:

Indeed we do. I feel bad for anyone whose birthday is today - it would be strange to have a celebration.

Meanwhile, it is a bright, sunny day that may require a chin-strap for my hat this afternoon.

Have an uneventful day, Gurus!

Howdy! Another picture-perfect day here- this would've been a good week to take off. But noooooooooooooooooooo. Anyway, I will commune with the lawn mower later. I really should dust off the Vette and get it out of the garage.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Greetings! Nice and sunny again, but 3 hours will be spent indoors - chores will wait until the Vikings game is over. That is the plan, anyway. Meanwhile, the Gophers pulled off a fantastic finish to seal a victory last night. My son had gotten free tickets in a drawing at work, so he got to see a fun game.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Greetings! Another beautiful day out there - I hope it isn't completely consumed by chores. The neighbors behind me are having their old deck torn down and a new one built - they said it was going to cost around $25,000. The neighbor house's original owner and I both put in our decks in 1990, similar size - he had his built by a contractor, and it cost $5000 and took less than a week. I did mine myself and it cost about $1500, but took me most of the summer. 7 years ago I re-did my decking and railings myself with maintenance-free stuff, and it cost me about $7000. So my aches and pains were worth about $21,500. Makes me feel better.

Good luck, Marcus! Meanwhile, I think the Goofers will have their work cut out for them tonight.

Have a great day, Gurus!

Howdy! I assume that today is Friday, though the garbage pickup is not until Saturday this week due to the holiday, so I'll have to double-check.

Happy Birthday to Sue!

Hidey-ho! Been busy all morning, and now have a couple meetings on the schedule - ick. No golf yesterday - it kept raining right on through to this morning. Supposedly that is all on the way out of here. We shall see.

Have a good day, all!

Howdy! The Labor part of Labor Day is about to commence - a pallet of stepping stones just arrived. Gotta mow first, though - it could start raining anytime, and that is the must-do item on the agenda.

Enjoy your holiday, Gurus!

Howdy! I have more landscaping to do, but it is raining at the moment, so I may get a reprieve. We are going to a friend's later this afternoon, so if I don't get my chores done before then, what a shame that would be.

Have a great day, Gurus!

Howdy! Got busy right away this morning (it is LABOR Day weekend, after all) doing some more landscaping. I'm hoping the ibuprofen kicks in pretty soon.

Here's a pickup that just needs a little TLC:

Enjoy the rest of your evening (which will be brief for me).

Greetings! Sunny again, and the mower blades have been sharpened for another attack on the lawn later. But it won't be too long before the yardwork hiatus begins.

Bloopers - har!

Hidey-ho! Been busy since the git-go again - ugh! It appears to be sunny outside, but only a balmy 58. The rain did stop in time to get a round of golf in yesterday. Fortunately it wasn't as atrocious as Saturday's round.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Hidey-ho! The sun is shining (sort of), so I will have to try to find some time mid-day to get out there and attack the lawn with the mower combine before it rains again.

Good luck with the new software, Andy!

Howdy! I can only describe our performance at yesterday's golf league tournament as atrocious. Our team wasn't playing for anything, but still, it was awful. I had been doing a lot of stuff right for the past month or so, and did none of it yesterday. Meanwhile, my mother would've been 99 today. I put in a pro-level sleep-in performance to celebrate. Not sure what the agenda is today, but they're talking about severe storms with damaging winds later, so we shall see.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Happy Friday! Glad that it has arrived, though it is raining, and I don't get to sleep in tomorrow due to an early golf tournament. The state fair is in full swing, and I plan to not attend for about the 30th year in a row. But some of the new food looks good:

Today we got 24 yards of mulch put in - my part of the labor was answering the doorbell and looking out the window. I could get used to that.

Hidey-ho! Nice and sunny here for the time being. Been busy since the git-go, seems to be the norm lately. Won't be long until I start thinking about putting the Vette away, and I have barely used a half-tank of gas.

Interest rate increases have slowed the housing market here a bit, otherwise things appear to be humming along.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Howdy! Had a nice evening for golf, except for the golf part, which was quite mediocre. It was cool enough that I busted out the long pants instead of shorts. Quite a change of pace from the last couple weeks, which were sweltering.

Have a good day, all!

Howdy! Back to the grindstone after 4 days off. I was just hitting my stride, and *poof*, back to reality. Meanwhile, it is dreary and supposed to rain, good day to be indoors.

Hope you recover quickly, Tommy!

Greetings! Us old guys won the golf tournament yesterday, so we get bragging rights for a year. We finished just in time - it poured afterward (there had be NO rain in the forecast). Meanwhile, we're packing up to go visit my sister and niece up north.

I REALLY wish I hadn't seen that pic of Tina Louise ;-)

Have a good weekend, all!

Greetings! Sunny and warm again. It was supposed to rain yesterday, but it was just hazy and muggy for golf, with no breeze. The golf part was actually relatively decent again. At one point, the sprinklers came on right in the middle of my shot, but I didn't mind - it felt very refreshing. I'm off tomorrow to play in a tournament.

Have a great day, all!

Greetings! Sunny for now, but naturally there is some rain in the forecast, since it is golf day. Nothing like what there's been out in PA, though - mojo for all affected.

Have a good day, Gurus!

Greetings! Gonna be hot and sunny here today. I'll be manning the grindstone in air-conditioned comfort. I had enough projectile sweating over the weekend.

Have a good day, all!

Yep, sad to see so few young folks who are interested in the magnificent old cars from yesteryear.

Hidey-ho! It is bright and sunny and sore out today. I have some work stuff to do, so I'll be doing nothing but sitting on my butt with the PGA tournament on in the background later. Meanwhile, last night my brother-in-law went to the Hastings car show. He went to the mini-donut stand, and when he was getting his order, he told the gal how disappointed his brother-in-law was that the stand wasn't at the last show. So she gave him a free bag of donuts and told him to give them to me. And he actually dropped them off here on his way home - a real nice surprise! I'll have to go there in 2 weeks - it'll be the last show of the season already.

Have a good day, all!

We have an area about 2000 sq. ft. in the back yard behind the garden, where the grass doesn't grow anymore, under some huge trees (which were twigs when I planted them decades ago). So we're using the boulders to form a border around that area, and will mulch the whole thing.

Greetings! I slept like a rock, after moving all the boulders yesterday. They only ranged in weight from about 20 to 50 lbs. but there were around 450 of them. I am waiting for the coffee and ibuprofen to kick in so I can go play with them some more. At least it is hot and muggy out :P

I'll bet your aunt and uncle were sorry to see you go, Matt!

Have a good day, yawlz!
