All is well here at the T-Bone home. Mrs. T did well and is suprisingly energetic. She's been on the phone most of the day. Nothing tacit about her. . Glad she's feeling pretty good though.

Some of you may remember my New Years clip from last year.

Hey b.g. The machine works. I don't have sleep apnea but I have friends that do. I snore and can shake the walls but breathe O.K. In my case the best resolve is earplugs for the wife. She won't go for it though. She'd rather I have my throat cut........ surgically.

I'm all done working and my retirement date is Dec. 31. I have to take my wife for for surgery tomorrow morning. I'll be leaving the house around 5:00 AM. She is supposed to be the first surgery. I think she should be home tomorrow night. Most surgeries now are out-patient unless it's severely intrusive. She has to have some benign growths removed from her right breast and correct some of the scar tissue on her left breast from the last go round. She used to be a 42DD. Now she's a 38C. Her words... She is now part of the itty bitty titty committee.

Hope all goes well with Rosie crash .........

Today I am putting away all the holiday stuff. Should take all of 30 minutes. 1 ceramic x-mas tree, one fishing Santa, one menorah, one air filled bear holding a dradle. My wife always tries to get me to decorate the house. I just hate to spend a day putting it up and a day taking it down. If I had little ones running around I would have them up for sure. I'm enjoying the benefits of being an empty nester. Less is more ...........

I started an open guru chat and nobody came?

I'm glad that Christmas is history. I'm getting ready to get on with the New Year and a new life. Today was my last work day for an agency I worked at for 29 years. The New Year brings me a new life, a new begining. I have a lot to be grateful for. The 91 is back from the shop and running great. It has a new top and new weatherstripping too. Autocross season kicks off in the second week of January. The parties are over and I can start to settle back in and get down to getting a few things done. The wife is having an end of year surgery on the 30th. Might as well get it done while all the deductables are met. They have to clean up a couple of issues from her last surgery several months ago. I hope the new year is a good year.

Jump on in gang ....... The floor is open. :well:

Funny you should mention Homestead. We're supposed to have a high of about 80 and low about 70. Tonight we'll have the traditional BBQ T-Bone Steak and shrimp with an assortment of other goodies including Lemon Merangue Pie. Sleep in late tomorrow and go out for a Christmas Day party. BBQ suckling pig, Cuban style. Chat with friends and family.

Uummmmm !! Little balls of dough boiled in fat and covered with sugar. Delicious. I cant resist them. The walls of the veins to my heart likes them too. Much more inviting than say...... a bowl of oatmeal.

It's amazing. X-mas is almost here again. For some, it's their first Christmas. For others it will be their last. Some people love this time of year. Others can't wait for it to pass. I hate the fact that Christmas is not a day. It's darn near a whole season. Thanksgiving is a day, Halloween is a day Christmas?........ November, December and half of January. Make it stop .....Please.... make it go away..........

On the bright side. Three more days of work and my career will be history. What kind of resolutions do you make when you have radical change like that? (Don't answer that)

Well, it's time to go take care of the 3 S's. Can't get anything accomplished sitting in front of a monitor.

Making promises you can't keep is for pussies. To admit you have faults and deal with them takes a real man (or woman). Who needs a special day to make a commitment. Wake up, say I'm not going to do this or I'm going to do that and stick with it. You don't need a New Year to make a resolution.

Ya. I remember that control the world population bullshit they spewed in the olden days. Population conscious Americans should try to slow the population growth by having 2.5 kids per family instead of the 6,10,12, 14, 18 or 20 kid families. Now we have 325 million people in this country. All the kids we stopped having were made up for by people of all backgrounds crashing our borders or the leg spreading underpriviliged bored stiff tweeners who couldn't afford video games so instead played bury the joystick. I often feel that epidemics, natural disasters and war have an important place in population reduction. Yes I realize it could happen to me. I gave 5 years of my life that it might have happened to me. It didn't and now your all stuck with me. Ha, ha, ha, ha !!!

We have had Nextel PTT for many years now and have found it useful for cross communication between other landscapers, contractors or my wife and myself for those quickie conversations or on the road calls. It's just that since they joined with Sprint the overall performance and service have been the suck. They used to be great. I'd like to find out who is great now. This is an option we use almost hourly and we have a line of other users looking to jump ship with us if we can find something better.

The main feature we need is ptt. Push to talk. Who has it and how is the service? We now have Nextel/Sprint and they have been getting worse and worse with dropped calls etc. So I'm shopping for a new company. Any good tips are appreciated. Thanks.
