What an attention whore. He must stay up at night in a cold sweat haunted by the images of bumper stickers.

I would cover his car top to bottom with Obama stickers if I were them.

After being convicted of a felony make it the only vehicle they could legally drive. Child molesters, robbers, DWI/DUI. Ah, forget it. That would be half the guru community.

The market took a dump in the .com crash when the techs were overheated. People bailed and jumped on real estate, that got overheated. 9/11 sent everything into a tumble. When everybody gets comfortable and starts feeling that there is no place to go but up, everything will start improving. Unless a nuke drops on Iran or Russia gets a little fiesty or China decides it wants Taiwan back in the fold or some other upheaval in the world. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea for banks to use sound lending practices. This current world financial crisis is a great reality check. A new administration probably won't hurt the confidence level. New beginings always spark hope. Hope begets inspiration. Inspiration commands change. We will rebuild. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is good nest egg. Buy low, sell high. Not sell low and buy high. Don't be sheeple.

Side comment. I'm sure institutional programs had an influence on the current market. It wont be long till the programs indicate buy and buy they will. The vultures are circling looking to pick up some solid companies dragged down by all the selling.

Crude was selling in the $78-$79 dollar a barrel range today down from it's recent high of about $147 a barrel. Gas prices should come down. There's a little good news.

I'm kinda with Notorious on this one. I'd rather live a good life than a long life. Although I did have to put the brakes on the past few years if I want to get to be a septuagenarian. Makes me understand why an old man would spend his kids inheritance on younger women. Believe me when I tell you that if it wasn't for the ball and chain I probably wouldn't be here today.

Do not look ....... I repeat .... Do not look....

Your in for the long haul. Keep contributing. The market will rise. Never bail out in the bottom. It's a sure way to lose. You never lose it as long as you don't sell it. Matter of fact, it's getting close to the time to jump in with both feet. Hopefully you are in a top 500 or a top 5000 type stock fund.

The method is not new but the cars change. I could pick out suspect enforcers with a scan of my mirrors or looking well ahead. Even the Stangs and Zs but this slug just blends in a little too well.

I was driving home tonight and back a couple of hundred yards I saw the blue and red of the FHP bearing down hard. I was not speeding so they were of no concern to me. As he passed I noticed that it was a dark colored Dodge Charger with the lights on the inside of the front and rear glass. No outside markings. Totally stealth. They drive other unmarked units also like Grand Marquis and Crown Vics but this Charger blended right in with the crowd. I'm not a super speeder on the highways and by-ways but this really gets my attention. Speeders beware ......

I have to agree with Matt and others who say there are some lemons but some good ones too. I have a 2005 Siverado 2500 diesel. 58K and it runs great. No problems, 2003 S10 V6 stick. 68K no problems, 99 Yukon 113K water pump , brakes a couple of problems but has treated me well overall. 90 Ford Bronco 2 trannies covered by warranties, 85 S10 145K I beat that sucker and it treated me great. I had a 80's T-Bird and a 83 Cavalier that sucked bigtime. These two Vettes haven't done me any great favors when it comes to parts. The two 80's Porsche 911s run like tops. I pay mechanics like some guys pay child support and alimony.
