Andy got 124 points with dead teams and I got 147 points making picks. I guess I'll just have to think positive. Think like a winner and you'll be a winner. Anybody got any prozac?

By the way ........ What does the subject body have to do with the subject? You just as well could have titled the topic Ham Sandwich.

I think Andy is going to score better than me tonight. I had Burton, Kahne and Reutimann. I feel like someone just cut one off. I'd put out my usual verbal assaults but I'm so F'n defeated I just don't have it in me.

Knock offs will work. I'm just a Seiko kind of guy. They hold up well and I don't have to break out the plastic to get one. My wife wanted to buy me a Rolex once. I just told her forgetaboutit! I don't like tempting the natives.

It's pretty well past us now. It cleaned up the trees and gave us a couple of inches of rain. Windy for the past 15 hours or so. Should be past us by noon. I put up all my shutters as a precaution, but then again I'm from Homestead. Lessons I learned from Andrew.

Should be unlawful posession and use of a deadly weapon.(The pick-up). No license, no insurance, no drive. Should be 30 days suspension of freedom on a first offense. Whine about it, another 30 days. Treat it like a DUI as a minimum. He probably doesn't have any hospital insurance either and emergency rooms can get expensive real fast if he were to ever have a slip and fall accident or something was to fall on his head. Make sure you get a judgement against him whether he can pay or not.

I don't know what the hell I'm doing but I signed up anyway. Are we on an auto pick draft? What actions do I have to take each week? Is it similar to Fantasy Racing? Are these enough questions or would you like a few more? I'm going as the T-Bone Terror. Is that too confusing? How about the Central Coasters or The Bruts or The JrRifleCoaches or The PatsFans or The Livin The Dreams. How about The Bogus Dash (-)?

Andy, you have to pick a bunch of new teams. The 9/9s are maxxed out. Your missing out on qualifying points. A couple of good showings and you could be back in the action.

So you made $40 minus their cut then you had to pay them $50 more to relist. So today your out about $65 bucks after selling the console. Todays net profit is a negative number. No wonder your going broke and ebay keeps making money. I wonder if guru-bay is available. You could be the admin and maybe get a peice of the action.

Of course you expect exhaust components to be hot. Valve covers and such I'm calling warm. Usually you can touch them soon after shutting down. Just the other day I just felt around a little in the engine compartment after I shut it off for a minute or two. I guess they were just hotter than I expected. I also have dual intercoolers and those I thought were to draw in cooler air from the outside of the engine compartment.

Sorry to hear your streak had not ended.
Hope you get it back in better shape than it was
before the hit. Weigh your painting options after you get
your settlement from the insurance. I wouldn't be
surprised if they said it was totalled. I'll keep
my eye on this thread for future updates. Good luck.
What year is it?

Hot plenum/supercharger/manifold in a 383. The temp on the coolant is fine and both fans are kicking on. Usually runs around 190/200. The external components are all hot to the touch. My mechanic says if it's getting proper air flow through the plenum it should be warm but not hot. Are superchargers hot components? I would think with the air flow they would run cooler too. They may seem like stupid questions but I'm just dumb enough to ask about it. By a hot manifold I mean that sucker will just melt wires and boots in close proximity. Of course I'm going to pick up a good set of high temp wires but I'm just looking for some constructive input from those that have been there and done that. I have read that the 383 engines run hotter. Do they need additional ventilation?

jimmers, you and I have been in the same boat a lot lately. I just had it done 2 weeks ago and it cost me $400 parts and labor. Once I read about needing a spring compessor and it being a pain in the ass I sent it out to my regular mechanic.
My 91 has about 159,000 miles on the body and about 7000 miles on a 383 engine. Since December this car has been a pain in the ass and a cash pig. I just hate to quit when I feel I'm so close to having it running right. Right now, I'm getting ready to send it to an ace Corvette mechanic and just have him go at it. I'll just have to spend some of my sons inheritance.

I'm a little confused on dropping the job because of the uniform outlay? Seems you could have paid that back over the course of a year. I'm sure there is a little more to it like maybe the pay issue. Uniform expenses can be a tax write off. Usually, there is some kind of uniform allowance when it's a job requirement for a city, county, state or federal position. Your about due for something good. Here is some magic dust. Use it wisely. :wizard:
