Working for the state is easy, just kiss supervisory ass, and learn to get along with a bunch of people that wouldn't last 2 weeks in private industry, then you're in for life!

"Hell starting out" probably means they want you to show up within 1/2 hour of start time and not kill any children for the first few months.

So what government jobs will you be applying for?

Re; Trivia tag

That was just a trigger for trivia. It was Thursday night.

Got the dogs tags today and had to get a repacement battery for the 99 Yukon. Yesterday had the boats gas tank purged. Had a few gallons of water in the tank. Now she doesn't want to start. Going to get my right rear muffler clamp for the 90 Vette in a few minutes. Plenty of things to do. Never a dull day. Back to work tomorrow. It was nice to be off for two weeks, while it lasted.

It's not all that bad. Haven't you ever wasted 1 to 3 hours at a movie theatre? The first 10 to 20 seconds were great and the last 8 seconds; Priceless.

I'm on my second to last day of a working vacation. I haven't even put a dent in the honey-do list. Windy but beautiful day. Low in the low 70's High in the low 80's. Like I told the spouse, I have plenty to do for at least the first 6 months of retirement. 27 months to go and counting. Piece of cake.

If they put a latched lid on the top portion of the vent you could also use it as a hibatchi while you wait for the power to come back up.

Thanks for sharing those pics of Germany LD. I was stationed there from 1974 to 77. I lived in several small villges around Ramstein. I watched fireworks over Heidleberg Castle, walked the cobble stone streets and drank delicious white wine along the banks of many rivers. I traveled through much of the country when I was there. Maybe I'll go back one day. Guten tag!

I have Noah, I have Tyvek, The cars are still dusty when I take off the covers. If you want a blanket ,go Noah. If you want a car cover, go Tyvek. I have had no serious issues with either but they have to come off in high winds or they'll blow off.

I would have thought the foreclosure figure to be much higher. Not near as bad as I thought.Do you feel we are into the turn runner? Things can't stay down (or up) forever.I still feel gas prices have to come down for the economy to get a good kick start.

Hurricanes in August are a hit or miss situation. Andrew hit in August. Just have a back up plan and watch the Carribean for at least a few days before you decide to come down. Are you flying? Consider trip insurance. There is nothing quite like the thrill of a hurricane.

The game is coming to an end....soon we'll see.......

The Curse of the T-Bone continues. Kyle Busch wins.

Burrito Brothers must have taken a siesta.

Did you notice the wings? If I ever go 192 mph I'm gonna have one. And those cars were bulletproof; taking taps and hits from all directions. The wall is still not their friend.
