I'm happy it's the end of October here and still 80... wish it would stay that way. Today is my Friday, tomorrow I'll clean up the car a little, get some errands taken care of and Saturday morning some of us from our local Vette Club are taking an over night run through some twisty, hilly, windy roads to see the 'fall colors'. Temps are supposed to drop though, that figures, was looking forward to having the top down to see it all. Of course this is Arkansas.. seasons change daily here...

Hi ho, hi ho.. off to work I go... and sit here all day with nothing to do... makes for a long day. Drove the Vette this morning.. and I have learned a valuable lesson.... NEVER leave the car windows down under the carport for two days.. I have a million billion gazillion thousand trillion skeeters in there... soon as the sun comes out there'll be ankle deep skeet carcasses to vacuum up
 slept crooked too apparently, hurt between the shoulders, that should be fun in the gym later...

Nothing interesting here except that I discovered Siri on my iPhone eavesdrops... I head it chime, and looked at the screen and apparently it has asked me what it could help me with and while I was talking to a friend of mine, it misconstrued what i said and got confused. It displayed a message that said "I do not know of humans from last December"... WTH???
And, apparently my southern slang isn't palatable to Siri, I tried to talk a text to someone telling them I was on my way or something and hoped that they had a good weekend and it tried to tell them something totally different.... could be interesting...

nothing interesting here this weekend except Corvette Weekend in Eureka Springs, AR - it rained, sleeted and hailed there - I was sick and stayed home, glad I missed that mess. visited my cousin in the nursing home, she had a crazy lady burst into her room and claim it as hers, interesting discussion ensued, my cousin left it with her and went to the desk to have her removed. Same crazy lady back the next night wanting her help, said there was a strange man in her room, my cousin said that's her problem and shut the door, told her to get in bed with him, maybe that would make him leave. Ain't old folks funny...

makes you realize how important life is, and those around you. Had a CB in my '90 red Firebird... several of us in town had them, we used to get bored and use them to play hide and seek around town. Husband at the time had an Isuzu Spacecab so he was Spaceman. Bored all to heck at work today, waiting on approvals on three vehicle wraps, then it's off to get the hair done. There goes two hours of my evening... but what else have I got to do?

I tried to sleep in, can't sleep past 5:30 for some reason. Sometimes I can fall back asleep but mostly not. This week, however my neighbors are moving so lots of noise (this is an older house divided and redone). They also have a 2-year old. I have a long list of things to do but I've not been in the mind frame for any of it, I guess you could say I've been sloth like lately... Have the elderly cousin due home from the rehab hospital Wednesday so I need to rig her up a hand held shower and do a couple things at her place to get ready for her.

Kidney stone mojo, I've never had them but have heard they are very very painful.
Stressy busy day at work, then when I left the check engine light came on. Took it and had codes pulled and among the usual 'vacuum leak stuff' one of the things on the list was 'loose gas cap'... SERIOUSLY??? That crap sets off a check engine light????

Good luck with your back Ultraman....Raining again here today. We got a little break yesterday but not enough for the yard to dry out enough to mow. I have a cover back there on the baby pool but it's been rained in enough it's fell down into it some and there's pine needles in there. I need to uncover it, get out the pine needles, run a little more chlorine through there and recover it to where it won't droop. Was hoping to be able to take the vette out today, need to go to my elderly cousin's house and get a few things for her, I'll be taking my pickup instead. Gas hawg. So far I've gotten up, cleaned up and put clean jammies on and most likely will get back on the couch and nap.....happy Monday....

Happy anniversary, Matt, hope things go well with your dad. My 'cousins' are all due at my aunt's today for dinner. Not sure why but I'm not really in the mood to go although I've said many times I'd like us all to be closer. Just feels too fake. Rained all day yesterday, has some today, supposed to tomorrow, so much for getting the grass cut. got my new iPhone preordered though. Yep, haddta have it, my old one is almost three years old. We have a dealership here that sells all those kinds of cars, we get one or two a week sometimes to put clear paint protection film on. Got an atomic orange McLaren recently and I'll be damned if my hairdresser texted me and said her husband bought it and sent me their photo in it. I freaked. I need to learn to do hair and see if he has a brother in business with him that's single needing a wife....

Mornin.....
Still can't manage to sleep past daylight... we'll try that again in the morning... but got up feeling somewhat normal today. Changed bedsheets, did some laundry, dishes, cooked my breakfast, straightened up some other things around the house, washed the vette - general catching up after 2 weeks of being sick. Have dropped the top on the car bout to fill it up with gas and take it for a short drive then visit the cousin that's in the hospital. They were hollering for meds to try and fix a problem that meds won't fix. Now they've moved on to discussing surgery. And, they've also given her some sort of pain pill now she's talking weird and saying stupid crap. I'm worried about that crap now. Been a beautiful day here should've spent more time outside, need the grass cut, the backyard cleaned up and all that junk. Well, there's always tomorrow..... Have a good Sunday night all...

I must have scrolled too quickly while reading the posts in here.... seems all I caught was someone in the dog house, something about pushing buttons and whether or not he got to poker (poke her?), and some dude drilling holes... 450 of them? and still at it? that's a lot of shafts to put into a lot of holes....someone's boyfriend is in the cathouse after being in the doghouse and who was it that was playing with their rear end? Wow - I missed a lot....
Took the elderly cousin to the doc again today with her problem with walking issues, this time we had back xrays, they looked horrible, doc showed 'em to me, she's admitted to hospital, had mri done and mess, starting with meds to try and fix the problems, I really can't see how they will fix it - looks like surgery to me but I ain't telling her that. I'm pooped, just got home an hour ago, got in the door just in time for heavy storms to start here, lights on and off and LOUD thunder that hurts my ears and shakes the house... wonderful day and night....

All I did was lay on the couch all day, got up once and went to the dollar store for some Alleve, FINALLY got rid of my four day headache. Glad you guys have the hot weather for a change, was muggy as heck here though. And all this talk of food has made my bowl of cereal for supper all of a sudden seem not so palatable.....

Monday figured I'd get in one more beach day but Isaac was on the way and I felt really bad and decided to head on home. Got here Monday at midnight. Never made it out of bed Tuesday. Worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Took her to the First Care instead of ER tonight but I had to wait 2+ hrs while they had her back there. Turns out wasn't her hip needing replaced again, she has degenerative arthritis. She's 78 and was given a wonderful bill of health otherwise along with a prescription fr something that was only $20. Just got her home and got me back home. That's been my last couple weeks. I'm still snoty, fevery and all that mess, and if my head would quit hurting I'd feel better. Nothing works. And, I'm off my beta blockers for the hand tremors and on Topamax now therefore beer don't taste good anymore. Might as well tell me I can't have chocolate. But, I hated that beta blocker so fair trade... Ok, I'm done whining now..... I'll leave you with this... you never think this will happen in your hometown by people you know... Muggy here, we started getting the Isaac rain last night. I'm still very sick from last week, don't need this mess. Taking my elderly cousin to the ER when I get off work tonight, she's having trouble with her 11-year old hip replacement. Should be a fun night - I'm snotty and fevery and will be in an ER with some other snotty people...

That thing ruined my vacation.... plus I got sick... came home from Pensacola day early... Prayers for those who are misplaced, without homes and power and I feel sorry for all the animals also.

Geez... I have two zero gravity loungers, two chairs with cushions and a love seat thingie with cushion and a mini fridge for the beer. And I have it all to myself all the time. Have a wooden Adirondack chair out front and a porch swing (one out back too, forgot) and have that all to myself. I think I'm having a mid life crisis. Finally have some jobs in at work but came home and looked around and realized I no longer have any real attachment to anything in here. Would be nice if someone would come over and offer a fair price for crap and haul it off. I have a pile in the kitchen and dining room to be rid of and have already sold a few other smaller things, like some jewelry, a jewelry chest, an antique japanese tea service set, still have one, got some nice china, crystal and lots of other junk that needs to go. Send your wives over with your wallets.....

I did... uhm... got up about 11:20, had some oatmeal, watched tv, met an old friend to hand over some old photos of their band I'd promised I'd had for years, drove the vette for about 10 miles, came home, got the truck out, put gas in it, rode 5 miles to the cemetery to make sure it was still there, came home, am in the middle of making a tomato pie (cheese, tomatoes, seasonings, bacon, mayo, you bake it), and have had some sea bass to eat, sitting on front porch swing with an ice coffee. Tried a beer, just didn't taste right. Oh and I've had a cupcake. That didn't taste right either.

Yep, Bill! Not only do I pay bills, I cook and clean, and fix stuff, and keep beer in a special fridge out back so you don't even have to come inside
When me and John divorced in 05 I paid his car insurance and cell for a year, I'd bought him a used SUV that he totaled, had to clean out my bank account a couple of times as he couldn't keep a job (was a shitty cop)... The first one cost me a bunch in credit card bills that I didn't know my name was on and part of a Mustang GT (apparently me buying a Vette while he was away hunting pissed him off)... the last 'involvement' was a lot of goodness all around on my part but I at least got the $1500 loan back, although obviously on the short end of the stick so to speak on other things, like all that stuff I needed done to the car.... I can thank his crack whore employee for that... but hey... How bout 'them Razorbacks!
