Weather is nice where I am too, the beach here is cloudy but the sun's out at PCB so I might take a nice scenic drive over there along 98. Not sure what I'm gonna do yet. Hope everyone has a great day.

I've done nothing... slept late yesterday, made breakfast, chilled, went to the beach and sat a bit, saw the sunset, ate a nice dinner, great Kid Rock concert... slept in today, lazy day, was gonna go to the beach again but it's pretty cloudy out, just hanging out with my friend, pizza, wings and beer and coke watching Nascar. Might paint my toenails later or something...

This weekend is DNBFS for me. I ran away. I took off to a friend's house in Milton, Florida for the weekend. Want to move here. Supposed to see Kid Rock tonight in Orange Beach, AL, then play it by ear the rest of the time. I brought some southern BBQ courtesy of a friend who smokes ribs and butts with me so we had that, chocolate chip cookies, a great movie and Corona last night. I got up this morning and made French toast. He's not up yet - he'll find it on the stove. Should be about 70 and sunny here today.

I got absolutely nothing done today but holding down the couch and watching the back of my eyelids. I don't know what's wrong with me. Four days off and I waste 'em every time. Plants still need planted, laundry and dishes still need done, need to get working more on this book, car is filthy, you name it. Managed to hit the grocery store and pay my $129.99 cover charge... I HATE shopping. Growl.....

Tommy, sorry about your kitchen woes, but can I borrow some of your weather? It's classic wintery looking stuff here. It's rained the last couple nights but today it's dreary and cold. I HATE this mess
 Matt - my old top also leaked with new weatherstripping. Adjusting those brackets on the front helped. And I know this sounds nuts but if I had it parked at an angle or slope that would 'twist' the body a bit, that made it open up for leaks also. I never got mine to quit after the new stuff was installed. I do know aftermarket weatherstripping is way fatter than GM but I had GM on the front and it still leaked. Go figure. And, the rest of you who've been married for 20, 30+ years - where do you find them at? I an't even find a decent boyfriend here much less someone to be married to. I"m not gettin' any younger either

Morning all.... nice fair weather predicted here today but rain tomorrow. I HATE fall and winter. I don't do cold. Period. Used to deer hunt but gave that up too the last three years. Although seeing those three in my back yard and five in the neighbor's yard recently makes me want to dust off the bow.
Wish I didn't have to work today but today and tomorrow then I'm off. i desperately need to get off my arse and get this other project up to date, hoping to feel like doing that and a little laundry this evening. Have a good day all...

Me and five other club members took a 'fall foliage' cruise around here, about 500 miles mostly of the most hairpin, twisty uphill and downhill roads I never knew we had around here. Took some photos if anyone wants to see - didn't get much as we were driving, most of these taken were out the windshield ...

Woke up to rain today, wasn't supposed to rain, just be a little cloudy then sunny later. Figures and I left the car out from under the carport. Now I have to put it under there and wipe all that off. Supposed to be nice tomorrow. I have a book to work on anyway. Wouldn't mind taking nice long vette drives but I get tired of doing things all by myself. Gets very boring.
 I feel like a cross between one of those abused shelter animals and a death row inmate at 23-hour solitary. Thinking I might go back to bed since it's rainy outside, plus it's Sunday - perfect nap time. That offer is still open for a male house mate who likes to clean and shine on pick up trucks and corvettes and do yard work in exchange for home cooking, roof and board and other perks

Some are better the next day after the flavors 'blend'... not this one. For some good cheese bread to go with it: Slided sundried tomato/olive bread (or whatever you can get) package of shredded parmesan cheese package of shreded swiss cheese onion juice salt pepper worchestershire sauce mayonnaise (NOT miracle whip) Mix the cheeses, a shake of some onion juice, and spoonfull or two of mayo in a bowl with a good shake of W-sauce. mix till it's a paste like consistency. salt and pepper to taste, put generously on the tomato/olive bread and bake. Glad the sketty worked out great! I got a lot of self-invented recipes, love to cook - just no one here but me now so there's no point in it. Last night though I had some baby back ribs and a huge portabella mushroom with feta cheese and spinach in the broiler. Stuff like that sketty works good for me - it makes a lot and I can freeze individual servings for later. Made 'ravioli soup' couple days ago. it's not what it sounds like. Recipe later if anyone's interested....

It would already been made legal but if they do that, then Phillip Morris and other companies will be out of business, including those medical research facilities that 'try to find' a cure for cancer, that I'm almost sure has been found long ago.... People will buy weed instead forcing everything else cigarette related out of business. Can you imagine the collapse our economy would suffer with that?
On a side note - I think we all deserve some free weed to tolerate Obama's dumb ass....

My DNBFS tour started again Friday afternoon. Finally finished my freelance Pet Calendar project. Had to be at their office for a bit then it was onto MY stuff. Got invited by my friend and his wife to a biker bar they hang out at last night for a chili dinner. Great food and met some really nice cool people. We left that one and drove on to another one where I met some more really cool people and had a blast Think I got home about 3 am. Been outside in the lawnchair all afternoon today. Gonna rest a bit, finsish up the software updates on the iPhone and MacBook, then drop the top and go run a couple of errands and make some BBQ spaghetti for supper and finish off my "Sunday beer".

I'm not putting the C5 up either. Never put the C4 up. Drove it anytime it was sunny and dry outside. I do need to get the oil changed though. Finally got that done on the truck. Been a strange day already. The ad director at the paper called and finally gave me her calendar changes so we'll go to press with this probably tomorrow evening. The other veteran's book I'm working on is on hold. The publisher there is leaving and the old ad director here will be the new GM there. I thought his ass was still in Delaware. I did win a quarter pounder when i stopped at McDonald's this morning though. Have a fish fry luncheon to attend at noon. Gunna be a bizy day....

I pay my bills online too. I remember not having but three TV channels, no computer, only a rotary phone attached to the wall and a bicycle. Now with the iPhone, MacBook, car, truck, internet, cable, how'd I get things done before? Ahhh, I was a kid then, it didn't matter
I need those chains on the toilet seat at my office. I work with four guys they ALWAYS leave it up Speaking of which, it's off to work in a few minutes I wish I could stay home. Very tired and worn out from yesterday. Y'all have a good un!

I'm worn out, hope you all had a good Columbus Day. I hit the gym this morning and had the most intense workout I've had in a loooooonnnng time, really pushed my limits. Came home, cleaned up, held down the lawn chair for about two hours, then up and at it to help the neighbor lady across the street move a bunch of huge potted plants and a complete bedroom suite. And then moved a bunch of stuff for a cousin from one house to her new place. Got some laundry on now and a bed waiting for me. Have a little freelance work to do, then off to bed.

My neighbor across the street washed mine for me today. In exchange I made a huge skillet full of chicken fried rice and some home made oatmeal cookies. Worked out good for both of us. Otherwise I got some house work done, sunbathed a while, had a couple of Coronas, not much else.

Supposed to be another DNBFS weekend for me too. The weather is absolutely beautiful here, wanted to drive down to Pensacola but spent my gas money on that pistol. I now have some rounds for it so I might get out and fire off a few this afternoon. Plan to get the house cleaned and the vette cleaned and lay around the rest of the weekend.

Usually around here it's the Mustangs that try to "impress" the Vette drivers.
My Vette radio quit yesterday morning, checked fuses tonight and it's not that. Is there an inline fuse or something? It's a Kenwood system someone installed. Got a small advance on a project I'm in the middle of and had my heart set on some LED taillights but a friend stopped by the office and showed me his new XD Sub Compact pistol. I've been wanting rid of my small Glock 9mm for a long time and instead of new taillights, now I'm the proud owner of an XDm 40 cal. And... no rounds for it

Im up and not sure why. I planned to sleep in late today. The only real things I had to do was put the headliner back in the truck with my adhesive spray. I guess sitting there a lot in the heat with the windows up makes it come loose. No biggie. Other than that, I'll take the top off the vette, shine on it some and go to the pharmacy and pick up meds. There's a BBQ fest here I thought about checking out downtown. Other than that, not much planned here.

tommy there's a heaven somewhere with a nice cold beer reserved just for you along with an easy chair .....
I on the other hand have not done shit all day except put on my bathing suit, lay in the sun in the lawn chair, drink beer, ran out of beer, got some more, and sat around the rest of the day. And I plan to do it all over again tomorrow....
