Yep, the perfect stuff that Jerry Springer episodes are made of. I have some years in this and have reflected and saw that there is a lot of emotional and mental abuse and such, and the bad definitely outweighed the good by a long shot. I do plan to seek counseling as I already had several losses, trials and tribulations this year nevermind having this foul vile mess happen to me at the holidays along with all else there is going on, and him have the nerve to be in my home and blame me, as he was looking for excuses to cover his shit. He was even lying the last day it all broke loose. How nuts is that?
I did thannk her for ridding me of a problem I needed rid of a long time ago, and his mother even told me he was a con artist and I didn't need it. If you all knew the stories you'd have fried hair by now. Some very vile and brazen stuff, use and abuse and all that.
I have been nice and kind to the last man. I am done.

My last week was eventful to say the least. The BF that I got rid of has already moved in with his new woman he's been cheating on me for the last two or three months with. He's been back here some, but then I found out what I thought was us working on things, he's been with her too. So.... I told her husband who lives the next street over. She's been lying to him, while living with him and seeing my BF. My BF had no idea. He told her he lived somewhere else not with me - BS, anyway, all hell broke loose all over, her husband kicked her out (they were reconciling he thought). What a damn mess. I have decided to never ever get involved in a relationship again. EVER.
I also went and purchased some home office furniture and chair so I can work at home on the projects that I have without having to sit at the end of the dining table or the sofa. Got all that sorted out, put together and going.
And, one of you sent some snow down here that I really wish you'd come get back. I need to go do things and can't get out. It's supposed to be zero the next few nights here.

It's okay here but I thought I told you guys to keep that snow to yourselves.

Supposed to start work on a freelance project tomorrow, 80 page book, then a photo enhancement job for some friend of my previous publisher's, then a healthcare directory for the local paper here.

Spent the weekend with my aunt and uncle in Flintville, Tennessee - got away and tried to get my mind off my problems. They have a very nice place here, around 20 acres, a huge house, plenty of booze, good food and they luv me
I do dread going back home, but when I do I will stay there a day or two and maybe bolt off to someplace else. I have freelance jobs, but can do them on the run. I am also hanging out with my recently deceased mother's dog that they took care of since I was not allowed to have pets.

Not a good day for me, confrontation with recent exbf, stoped by to get a gift card I'd won to his Sat night christmas party and his new gf was there up in the crib with all the family. wasn't pretty. funny how he's been here off and on last two weeks pretending to be trying to get bck in good graces.....
I've managed to run into all his best friends and when they ask about him - I TELL them....
here's the lowdown: She weights around 300 or so, has tongue and eyebrow pierced, older than me, got caught screwing her daughter's 19year old bf, is supposedly married, possibly separated, and has given him some prescription narcotics which after who I saw today, I'm sure his boss will soon find out about.

he met firend at work, got interested, started driving a wedge between us, got more interested enough to pick a fight with me so he could leave and be with that.
And, I've lost four family members this year, one coworker, two firends with serious health problems, my own health problems, job loss, car broke, house sale fell through, hot water heater broke now and here it is the holdiays when i need my partner the most and he pulls this shit and dumps me in the ditch for that.

I love my iPhone, problem with switching from ATT here is that virtually everyone here uses ATT. It's the best for this area so far. And if I used a different network, I'd have to pick a very high minute plan as I would not have the benefit of mobile to mobile like I do now.

On top of all that, here in Jonesboro, when the newer iPhone model came out, your bill went up $5. Mine didn't as I still have my original one. But I asked when I thought about upgrading why the extra $5 cost? I was told it was because the way the phone operates, net based and it costs more. Something about the 3-G stuff. BUT - We are still on the old Edge network here - we dont' even have 3-G but those here that purchased iPhones and plans after the original have to pay the extra fee anyway.

Wow! Now there's a job I'd like to have...

I had a nice start to the day. Up way too late last night, up way too early today, but I got up, showered, dressed, took my paper and a glass of tea out on the front porch swing and quietly enjoyed both. Can't say as I've ever done that before.
These peeps on my street on welfare are on to something here...

That diet would be a good plan except for the fact that today is my last day at the office along with one more coworker, so everyone here brings food. They will use any excuse to make you fat! Another slow day at work, things are winding to an end. Tomorrow is my last day. Then Thursday have our holiday party I was invited to here, (ugh) then Friday I meet with one of our other publishers for a freelance job. Still trying to figure out why they can't keep me on after 16 years but will pay me way more hourly for freelance work for them????
Cold here to but not too bad, mid 40s but freezing at night.

There's something to be said about consistency with payment but when he abandons things that's forfeiture of lease, and by abandoning an animal, that's cruelty to animals and jailtime. Take the pooch to the humane society where a good person can give him a dependable home. Even if he were in jail, they are allowed phone calls and mail to let you know the situation and make provision for the animal, as well as you for payment or what to do with his things.
Go through is mess and/or phone, find some family or something, drop his crap off with them and take the pooch to the adoption agency.

I guess you'd call me 'jaded' after all this. And yes, I've dated some from Memphis, they aren't any better. I think I just need to get this house sold and simply move off to where I know no one and start all over.
And, this nut had the nerve to bitch at me for calling him out on his cheating! WTF! He's just mad I was smart enough to catch him. I have noticed a pattern in recent years and it always happens the same way, so when I start seeing clues I start paying attention and in no time, he will usually rat himself out without realizing it.
I'd rather be alone and have my sanity. Relationships simply aren't worth it.
The difference between him and me is simple: If I am seeing you and care about you and get other 'offers' I say "no thanks, I'm seeing someone" and go on. If I get unhappy I'll let you know, otherwise assume things are fine. I will leave you before I cheat on you. I have more respect for others than that. Him: Will say he cares bout you and all that baloney, but a slug slides by and instead of having respect for who's putting a roof over his head and saying 'no thanks' he chats up, gets interested, then looks for ways to pick a fight with me and make it look like it's all my fault so he has a way out. What a p&ssy....
I try to make sure I keep my guy happy in all respects, but yes some people change and unless you change together or work it out, it won't work. All good relationships take effort, but I'll be dam&ed if I be a provider for ANY man especially when he makes more than me only to be taken advantage of.
Jeff - I agree with your rant - seems same on my end - when a guy figures out I don't question things, and pay my own bills and car and mess, he sees a gold mine and moves in for what he can get for free and use me. This dood made $20k more than me with only a couple of credit card bills. Yet was at my place and did not do crap or pay crap to help out.

It just seems that every single person I've dated turns out like this, and this one even tried to 'make me part of the family' taking me to stuff, reunions and all that and they even treated me like that. I've told them all what's happened. Up to them to deal with him now. I've dated different age people, different backgrounds/jobs, you name it. Even the 'nice ones' to start with end up horrible. The one I got the most serious with had a 6 year old daughter. I had no idea till she filled me in on 'daddy's other friends' one day and showed me photos of them. She has her own digital camera. Then he was supposed to be over here one evening and didn't show so I went there and he was there with someone else. I really don't need this during the holidays, I've had enough bullshit for one person for one year.

And I'm serious - when a man is in a relationship with a decent woman who takes care of her own stuff, pays her own bills, is nice looking and is very good to him and he decides to cheat on her - why does he pic a TRAILER SL*T? Honestly. I really want to know. I dated someone a bit back and found out he cheated on me with one co-worker - a bony bleach blonde chick who dressed like a man, talked like one too and was just simply put an old dried up ugly ho about 48 yrs old. I was 38 at the time. The 2nd one was the one pictured below. About my same age but looks much older, dyed hair (different every time you see her) looks like a trailer tramp, and the third one was a huge woman my age, tops out about 400, and is a drunk and a pill head with a pierced tongue and she slept with her dauther's boyfriend, even!
If my lawn were to be passed over by greener grass on the other side I could ALMOST understand, but WTF am I doing wrong? Seriously? I try to keep myself up, look nice, take care of my own bills, don't ask for stuff, am not jealous or nosy, fix my own things and if he stays here, I keep laundry done and things and really don't ask much except a little help here and there. I'd make someone a real good husband some day.

I have a great respect for anyone tackling an old house.
Lots of work and they are a PITA but bring great satisfaction and many learning experiences.
For a while I lived in an old doctor's house, build in the early '20s. Plaster walls, push button switches, original wiring, all that. It was a very cool house with lot of windows made of those tiny panes and a huge enclosed porch with more of them with crank open window sections. I learned how to re-glaze them after getting a $6,500 estimate. I'd like to have the house back but hated where it was located.

I wonder how many electric meters he's replaced due to wearing them out! Beautiful though, but I bet it's a pain putting up all that stuff!

I kinda missed the weeekend. I guess my body is about ready for a crash knowing the job will end soon and there will be some time to rest finally. I've been sleeping like a hibernating bear lately, even not hearing the clock in the mornings. I can usually hear a knat fart in a whirlwind in downtown China. Went to bed Friday night around 10pm, slept till 2pm Saturday, back in bed at 10 or so and up at 9:45 today. Really screws up my to-d0 list.
But we've managed to miss the snow, we got the rain. Nasty either way. Need to run down to mamma's house today and clean up and stuff again, am relisting the house plus need to drain the hot water heater and crap. Then come home and clean my house, go through some stuff and do dishes and all that woman's work that I have no man to help with, and check on that brake booster I think I efed up, and see if my fan switch is bad or if it's the third relay I didn't replace.
Whew. What a fun filled day.

I have managed to pick up a couple of nice freelance jobs for January. That will help, will get paid for one in January, the other should pay out in February. I will also get the full amount of my three month severance Christmas Eve. I see a bottle of whiskey in my near future.

Matt - if you need some photoshop help with those photos I will do what I can for you if you can get hold of the high res digital ones. Even if you cant' I might can still help.

How the heck you get out the front door? And here I whine about three inches of snow here! I still hate the crap.. and one of yous jinxed me and we're getting it Friday.

Might as well - been a strange day. I mentioned to my publisher being a smart-aeleck about they'd probably issue Christmas bonuses and a holiday party after my group is already gone. My last day is 12/16 and wouldn't you know - an invitation on my desk this morning for a party the very next day! I was told it was not a mistake that all of us actually are invited and our dinners will be paid for. Reckon I should go and sucker them out of one more free meal? (sarcasm)
Then the publisher from Mississippi sent me two more jobs today that are not supposed to be coming to me for the last two months. wonder what he'll do when I'm gone? (without...)
And, if that's not the icing on the cake - they can't keep me and pay my meager salary but they hired me for an 80-page book today on a freelance basis - three times what they pay me at the office. Now, what kind of sense does that make?
And, now, instead of my 12-week severance in bi-weekly direct deposits, (which would keep me in line finance wise) I will now get a lump sum Dec. 24th.
Well, at least I won't have to take down that 12-foot tree, all those lights and that 100-foot hallway full of garland I had to put up hehe....
