Just thought I'd drop in and say hey to you guys. Not a lot has changed but that is refreshing.

Bill, looks like you're actually making some progress? What happened to the DNBFST?

some of you guys might remember that my son Jason is a patient at St. Jude childrens hospital. Well, a few members of Mustangforums and I have gotten together to try to give back to this great place.

The event is open to ALL American Muscle cars.

Who knows, some of you guys might even beat up on a few Mustangs?!

Would love to see you there.

This was the first one for our group too. I think that having a cause you really believe in helped all of us remain focused and get it done.

Tips-
Figure out the best way to get the word out. We spent so much time and energy posting on as many Mustang forums and sites as we could and it didn't get us as much feedback as we thought it would so focus on quality over quantity in that aspect.

Never think that you are prepared enough.

Well, we had 52 Mustangs in attendance and we raised $4000 for the cause. I'd call that a success.

This is going pretty well, we've got $925 towards our goal of $1500.

One of the guys created a website for the event too.

Thanks, Jeff. That was one of the reasons I did the conversion. I've heard of guys ordering one...then three days later they get an email that it's not available, try a different vendor, same deal. Wait a month for a m/c, etc. That's crazy.

Yep that's the game I played too. I finally ended up sending it out through Rock Auto to get it rebuilt.

Yes, it is. We are also going to hold a raffle online and at the event, we've gotten great support from the Mustang vendors.

Hello Guru's,
I know that I defected to the darkside but I know you guys are a great bunch who support our military so I figured that I would post this here in case any of you want to help. So far we've raised about $1000 all of which is going to the WWP.

Below is a link to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Carolina Regional Chapter of Mustangs Forums, which I’m a part of, is holding a fund raising event for the WWP. Our event is called Mustangs on the Mountain and is taking place at Deals Gap (AKA: The Dragon). You do not have to be a Mustang owner or even attend the event, but you can still help our wounded vets. We all know and understand that times are tough, but we at least have our health. Let’s make life just a bit easier for those that make our life a lot better. There is no minimum or maximum, only what you can afford or would like to donate. Thank you for your time and please share this with all your friends. Talk to one and help hundreds.

Thank you!

Jeff

Come on over..the water's fine Seriously though, if I didn't have the kids (yes, they fit in the back seat) then I would have looked at C5's. The new Camaros are rediculously over-priced in my opinion.

Would the modification be a big deal? I've got a milling machine, and I know this young guy wants to do away with the pump, and your's looks much better than the one I made before.

Thanks!

If you can make the bracket in the pic I'm pretty sure you could make this one work.

Jeff,
Are you sure the Alt. case is larger on an '85? I know a guy who would probably buy one of these for his '85. I had an '85, but never compared the Alt. to any others, and I made my own bracket......but yours is fantanstic, much better than mine.

I sold one to a guy with an 85 about a year ago and he had to elongate the lower hole on the bracket to get it to work. I can see if I can find a better pic of the alternator that was on mine so that you can maybe compare it to his but the early Vette's had a different alt.

I ended up with one more of these. It will not work without modifications on the earlier Vettes because the alt. case is larger.

Nothing much going on here. Looking for a new job, having some issues here that are not going to resolve themselves and I'm tired of this industry.

Hopefully everyone up north has their power back. I know Dad lost power for awhile Saturday night.

I'd rather be riding in a combine than sitting here at this desk.

How did you make out with finding a new truck Marcus?

Supposed to rain here tonight and all day tomorrow. Then sunny and 60 through the weekend.

My wife and I met up with about 25 Mustangs Saturday and we headed up the Tail of the Dragon. The weather was perfect! Leaves were so colorful. I think I clocked a little over 900 miles by the time we pulled back in the garage at the house. The 75 year old gentleman with the 64.5 Convertible lead us at one point and he was not afraid to drive that car. The Mustang people that we met were really nice and we had a great time.

Here is a group shot from the Fontana Dam

Haha!

I just laughed when she said that and letf it at that. I ordered my TB copycat plate this morning!

Letty, my wife has never once asked me that question. I think she's afraid of my answer but I like big butts and I can't lie.

Jeff, go ahead and use mine if available. You're right, it is perfect, not specific to any particular car brand, type, and describes my feelings.

I think I am going to be your copycat.. of course my wife's comment was "Well atleast the car makes you feel that way"

Euphoria (pronounced /juːˈfɔəriə/, from Ancient Greek εὖ, "well", and φέρειν. "to bear") is medically recognized as a mental and emotional condition in which a person experiences intense feelings of well-being, elation, happiness, ecstasy, excitement and joy.[1] Technically, euphoria is an affect,[2] but the term is often colloquially used to define emotion as an intense state of transcendent happiness combined with an overwhelming sense of contentment. It has also been defined as an "affective state of exaggerated well-being or elation.[3] The word derives from Greek εὐφορία, "power of enduring easily, fertility".[4][5] In some cases, the word is "interpreted as little more than a feeling of light-headedness"
