Your mods and dyno performance are very close to my son's 2004 Vette.

I am going to bet FIC recommended 36 lb/hr injectors. Let me know how close my guess is.

You are correct. 36 lb/hr rated @ 43.5. Should be around 42 for the 4bar LS1

How's you son like them? Did they tune well? Which ones did he end up getting?

He is very happy with the results, but I don't have a copy of his invoice handy and don't remember all the details. He had Vengeance Racing in Cumming (same town as FIC) do all the work and the tune. He kept stock heads, went with a cam, rockers and the hardware to go with them, injectors, 2800 stall, Kook's long tube headers, hi flow cats, and of course the dyno tune. He already had a Bassini cat back exhaust.

That does sound similar. I bet he likes his car. I like mine. I did not change my rockers.

Thanks for the info and the Welcomes.

I already talked to FIC via email because I had a slight hiccup getting my authorization to go thru on this forum. I wanted to post here anyway Once I got activated because if FIC answered here I figured it could help others. We'll see.

Ultraman, Thanks for the compliment.

wow. 115%? I am trying to remember the rate of the stock LS1 injectors... but I would think you need to see a 3 to 5 lb bump. I think the stock ones are in the 25lb range, so 28-30 should be fine... in short, LS6 injectors!

Sorry to hear the transmission problems... I am not a big fan of the 4L60E and it's variants... ick-poo.

Thanks. The car feels like the trans work was a big success. I like the way it drives now. I had a good guy do th erebuild. Has his own Vette and knows what a driver would want. So other than the money, it was a good thing.

If you plan to keep growing look into Some 36lbers. they are common.

Stock C5 LS1 were 28 IIRC

Stock C5 injectors were 28lb for 97 & 98, then they dropped to 26lb for 99 & 2000 for some reason, then they went back to 28lb for 01-04. I do not believe they changed injectors for the Z06.

What injectors are people using? ford SVOs? I was thinking of getting something that flowed around 42 @ 58psi

I'm a little late to the party but I just saw this thread. I used to live in Asheville, NC and loved driving on the Parkway. I didn't own my Vette at the time. I'd love to take it on the Blue Ridge Parkway. After hearing about your other roads, I'm sure I'd like to do that as well. It will be on my list. Hope you are beyond your health problems by now. I'm currently recuperating from a right total hip replacement.

I have a 2001 LS1 A4 Corvette with the following mods:
Vararam,
ported C6 90mm TB,
Fast 92,
231/235 .617/.620 114.0+2,
LG LT headers,
Corsa Pace Car,
2800 yank,
3.42,
Hardened A4,
B&M tranny cooler,
C6 split spoke 18x9.5f 19X11r, w/Nitto Invos

I have hp tuners but am far from an expert. When I dyno'd I did not get the results I was expecting. And at the track I was a little slower than I expected. My best run was: 12.20 @ 112.65 with a 1.805 60'. My best dyno was: 386.28 rwhp 337.85 tq

Both hose numbers came from the car with a vigilante 2800 torque Converter that was very loose and I believed was slipping way too much. I had it re-stalled but did not re-dyno. Shortly after that I noticed that my transmission was slipping and have since had that rebuilt by aguy who knows Vettes and improved my parts as he did the rebuild. I changed to a 3000 stall yank torque converter because my experience has shown me the yanks are a little tighter on the street which I wanted. I certainly did not want to rebuild the tranny only to find out my tc was still slipping. This is also when I added the B&M tranny cooler.

OK, this was all background. I was logging a few runs trying to see what kind of numbers I get to familiarize myself with the cars current tune. I noticed that at WOT my injector duty cycle is 115%. I am still using the stock injectors. So my question is what do you recommend for me?
