Spent 4 hours at the Nissan dealer last night looking at some really boring Altimas. Its hard to beleive that they want so much for what I consider a base model vehicle. I think my wife finally realized that this morning. We might go look at other options like Charger, Sonata, Optima since they are all in the same basic price range and come more well equipped.

I've driven the Charger a couple of times as a rental car.
I was not impressed by it, If I had to buy a Chrysler product it would be the 300 it was much nicer than the Charger.

Tommy - glad to hear your mom is OK..

Tonight I donated my hair to Locks of Love. I know they will give it to a maker of adult wigs . However it will be put to good use as adults with cancer loose their hair too
Almost 18 months to the day I was released from the hospital after having a Pulmonary Embolism in each lung.
You had to have 10 inches of hair to cutoff.

I'm leaving for home Sat morning... It's Friday nite here (Japan)it's been a stress free trip for me the last couple of weeks . However my family has been real stressed about my visit here...
I still need a flashlight to see at night so I guess I'm OK!

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

If you take a look the feedback is for him as a buyer not as a seller which would keep me from bidding on the car if I was interested

I would say go with a brand name like Lincoln or Miller and buy local. One day when you need consumables you will be able to buy get service and repairs without shipping it somewhere ...Which welder are you looking at? Figure out what you will be welding in thickness and gauge the machine size from there . I personally bought the next size larger when I bought my Lincoln. If you are not planning on working 8 hours a day don't concern yourself with duty cycles. I personally don't have a problem with using a fluxcore wire - it gives good penetration but leaves some cleanup. In welding its all about penetration so if you were to add the gas and go with mig wire make sure to test weld on a piece and break it apart. It is easy to get a good looking weld but not have enough penetration

Some of us in PA adjust valves the same way! I still have a car cover that has an oil stain from the oil.

My hats off to ya. I though it was hot in the Northeast with our humidity but man was I wrong! Nice place though

There is a book pulished quarterly called old car price guide which gives an explanation for the cars rank from a pile of parts to excellent. In the past the Vette prices seemed a little on the higher side but not as much as others. you may find this at a barnes and Noble or similar large bookstore

Actually it takes a little more skill to run the older cars and make them run well , which can be a pain . It's always a balance between spark and throttle. Later models got an optional gas pedal.
Thats what draws me to the older cars- the challenge
I love my Vette don't get me wrong but its fairly civilised in the jump in and drive down the road department

You can top coat POR 15 as it is UV sensitive but it will not rust again.. its one product IMO that if applied properly works as advertised!

The only problem with those is having to spend 2 weeks sorting thru 38 coffee cans full of nuts, bolts, screws and "what the hell is this" things.

I do a major coffee can sort once every 5 years and I still have to drive down to HD on just about every project.

I have tried and have both the cabinets and coffee cans. I still can't find anything and wind up going to the store
