This is probably my last time on the forum. The cancer has turned worse and I basically have maybe a few weeks left. To all of my forum friends I wish you the very best in every endeavor.

You have the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame right on the lake in downtown Cleveland. Then there is Cedar Point Amusement Park 1 1/2 west of Cleveland.

Celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary today. Not bad considering this time last year I was given last rites. Still here, at least for now.

Bill, thanks for posting this. It took me back 5-6 years when I was turning laps at Road Atlanta. It was a blast.

Absolutely no problems. They have been on for 7 years and over 70,000 miles and still look like new.

The LT4 was a one year option only (1996). In '96 all auto trans vettes were LT1, while all 6 speed manuals were LT4. The LT4 models are a bit harder to find due to a limited production. Before I sold my 95 I bought an LT4 and mated it to the auto trans in the 95 with no problem at all.

ps-the LT4 was also available in the 97 TransAm.

“General Motors has told Chevrolet dealers to stop delivery of approximately 2,000 2015 Corvettes to fix the driver’s airbag. GM has also temporarily stopped shipment of the cars from the plant in Bowling Green, Ky,” the automaker said in a statement.

“Separately, another 800 Corvettes — most of them at dealerships — are on hold because they may have been built with only one of the rear parking brake cables fully seated and engaged.”

Tommy, random chemical plants in the Boston general area. Mostly delivered tank truck loads of latex to plants that made it into house paints. Then there was an adhesives plant just north of Boston (Lowell?) that I would deliver to about once a month that always took delivery around midnight. Guess they didn't want to disturb the neighbors during the day.

Jeez! Why was he backing in on the blind side anyway? No matter what he had to know he was hitting something to do that much damage. Backing in high range?

I used to have to back into some really tight spots in NYC and Boston. So I put a moto-mirror in the passenger side, one of the better things I did.

Cold here in N Georgia today. Low tonight in the teens and 1-3" of snow forecast for in the morning. A lot of the schools are shut down for Presidents Day and the others are already closing for tomorrow. Even a forecast of snow is enough to thoroughly screw up Atlanta traffic. Glad we don't have to worry about going anywhere.

I don't know about the C6, but the C5 gas tank is snugged up right against the floor behind the seats. Any drilling in that area on a C5 can lead to major problems very quickly.

Temp got up to 65* already today. I went and sat in the sunlight on the front porch, then I decided to try something. I haven't walked up the steps to the seats around the koi pond for almost a year and a half, until to day that is. I made it up the steps and over to the area around the pond, even picked up some sticks and put them in the burning pit. Felt really good, even better when I made it back down the steps without falling. Before I got sick I could jog up an down those steps like nothing, today it is a major achievement to make one trip up and down.

I had 238,000 miles on my 95 when I sold it and the new owner has it over 250,000 miles. Only oil leak I ever had was the intake gasket at the rear. Drive it and enjoy it!

Started the new year with a sleepless night. Dianne was having some very serious pain in her right leg. Ended up calling an ambulance for her about 2AM. At 7am she called to say they found a pinched nerve and she was released to come home. Since I can't drive that far a had a VERY GOOD neighbor take me to the hospital to pick her up. Hoping the rest of the year is a lot better.

Yesterday I had chemo in the morning and then therapy for my shoulders in the afternoon. Then we went to Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner. Had an excellent meal, highpoint of an otherwise miserable day.

Over 2" of rain here yesterday, good thing the Falcons/Cleveland game was in a dome stadium. With the handicap pass we parked within 50' of the stadium elevator.
My son was pushing me in a wheelchair, so my only problem was the stairs to our seats. It was a darn good game.

74* outside right now, but with a cold front coming in that will change (for the worse) very quickly,

I ran a Mack B-61 back in the mid sixties, then moved up to the U and R models with Mack engines and 5x3 transmissions.
Then it got boring with the maxidyne engines and 5 speeds.
I also drove a Freightliner with a 4x4 behind a 350 Cummins.
Memeories, yep.

He is doing well. Presently stationed in N. Florida and a SSGT in the USAF assigned to special forces with the CV-22.
He enjoys the flying, but is talking about getting out next spring. Thanks for asking.

It has been a while, but just checking in again. Still fighting the cancer and all the crap that comes with it, so far so good. Lots of up and downs, but a year ago the DR thought I would be dead by now. Still kicking, just not as hard.

The vette is gone, traded for a later model Chevy 4x4, lot more practical. I can still drive, but very limited.

I am celebrating 69 years on tomorrow - dinner and a movie.

Ya'll take Care, Andy

Clean it up with some brake clean, but be sure to put some never seize on the mating surface with the hub when going back together.

I've been meaning to make my emergency hood release cables for 10 years now. I really need to do it, especially since I already have all the stuff in my shed. My cables actually broke once and it cost me a couple hundred to fix as I recall. Money well spent because I understand a session with a therapist is necessary if they break and you don't have the tool or home made gizmo to unlatch it.

Sounds like you are waiting for one to break?

Don't forget the emergency hood release cables.

I also used a locking gas cap with a hidden compartment with the C4.

Here is a picture of the windjammer mounted to the top of the A pillar. That was absolutely the best little mod I had on the C4.

I went to the DMV and renewed my driver's license for another five years. That was my only plan for the day, since my back is hurting I am taking it easy this week.

Stay young, Gurus!

Better to feel like a fossil then to be one.
