Its been a long project up to this point. Deconstructing, researching, grinding, blasting, sanding, painting 50+ years of GM & bubbas fuckups. Bubba has ruined many C2's over the years and trying to get this one into presentable shape is my greatest challenge. There have only been a few ares that have remained as from the factory. Its a numbers matching example. Chassis, body, engine and transmission (diff) are original. My restoration will not be NCRS correct as the front clip and hood have been replaced with aftermarket and other year model parts. But I will maintain the paint and interior colors as the trim label indicates. After pulling off the body, a full restoration plus frame alignment and rust damage repairs were conducted. Likewise the body was inspected, sanded to primer and repaired to original lines. The entire drivetrain and suspension has been overhauled to original specs. Although I did cheat with a 365SHP cam and solids. For now the engine compartment/interior is getting freshened and painted. Next is all new wiring.

Its been quite some time since my last post. The 65 reconstruction has been interrupted by prostrate cancer. Along story that has been life changing.

As the assembly goes, one step forward two steps back. Each piece needs attention that calls for more money. NOTE to self....dont do this again! Buy one thats finished!

Rant off

Ive started with the doors and interior. Most pieces are coming together nicely. The bright blue color is striking. I cant wait until this area is ready for the instrument panel and power.

Later. . . .

Keep up the good fight JR.... my first C2 was a 65 and I still dream of having one someday.... if our ship comes in. More options in 65 than any other year. Keep after it... all the best health wise also....
